Well, I have the game and I don't want to know where stuff is. It's a spoiler.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear: the graphic showing locations is a spoiler in itself. Please don't just put it up there without warning about spoilers.

Those aren't pillars, they're buildings. Manhattan?

A new anti-gamer tactic?

Shadow: nothing you mention has anything to do with 'anti-gaming activists'. A grandma thinking it rude that you were on your DS would probably say exactly the same if you were texting on your phone or reading a book for a few minutes.

As for social norms and how games are generally perceived, that's another discussion entirely. But on a side point I'd say I can understand why violent games are perceived negatively. I have never heard anyone explain why it's perfectly OK to enjoy pretending to be violent (I say this having just bought Ninja Gaiden). In Germany they disallow most violent games: is there any argument against their law other than a basic appeal to freedom of expression? I'm not sure there is.

A new anti-gamer tactic?

"Folks who don't like the concept of video games are frequently willing to go to lengths to get the medium silenced...anti-gaming activists..."

I don't think I've seen as silly a post as this in a long while. Who on earth is against 'the concept of video games'?! If you mean violent games, that's another issue entirely. But honestly, you make it sound like people who play computer games are a persecuted minority or something.

Intel enters cheap PC market, slams competition

That's the longest sentence I've seen in a long time.

"You wouldn't think the competition to sell cheap computers...the huge library of existing Windows software."

Phew.
