Aug 27th 2011 11:59AM (WoW)Blizzard gave me a week of free playing time to come back.
The week is up. I can't justify spending 14.99 a month to play a game that I simply am not having fun playing.
I'm not hating on Blizzard at all in that either. Sure I have my gripes about mechanics inherit to the game. But what they all boil down to is that I just don't find what WoW has to offer as fun anymore.
WoW was my first MMO; and it will probably be my last.
Good Luck Blizzard & Thanks for the good times.

Jul 1st 2011 11:13AM (WoW)I've attempted PUG raiding for the last two expansions due to my raiding guild dissolving...and out of sheer wanting to see/experience the content; I allowed myself to be burned out on WoW. I still love the lore and the game itself. But the concept of teaming up with others to get things done no longer appeals to me. The concept of attempting raiding with 9 to 24 other people who may have a myriad of concerns that would be foreign to me is seriously troubling.

Jun 15th 2011 8:28AM (WoW)Then I log on to see that I'm the only person thats logged on in weeks. I'm not bitching...but the only Cataclysm that happened is my long term guild simply vanished. Maybe Deathwing ate my guildies...and I survived...I dunno.

May 9th 2011 12:52AM (WoW)Awesome, awesome write up. Amazingly this article sums up why I ended up refusing to tank in PUGs & why I no longer play WoW. Sure I still read this blog from time to time; I'm still interested to know some of the happenings in Azeroth. But if you're not raiding...a member of a non-existent guild...and constantly playing solo...you will be PUG'ing your way through content. Constatnt PUG'ing is an awful way to waste away. Granted I understand that Blizz has tried to give something to those who don't / can't raid in making Heroics harder and more substantial. But if you still have to rely on strangers to mark your level of progression, you'll only end up going insane.

Oct 5th 2010 12:18AM (WoW)I made this mistake with Wrath. Never again. I constantly got prodded & pushed to "hurry up" just to hit Naxx with the guild. As such I didn't feel like I was part of the team...but more like a 10th member just to fill out the raid attendance.
My gear was shit. And really hadn't been raiding since Vanilla.
If you're in a guild and people are giving you shit because you're not capped or up to someone else's expectations...and the game has been out for barely a month...
Ugh.
