Someone tell OMAC that Halo was originally developed for the Mac, not for the PC? Never mind, I just did.

Might i suggest Butler? It does the hotkey search thing very well, as well as quite a lot more - app/file launching, bookmark management, clipboard extension, hot corners, itunes controls; so much more, all completely customisable.
