Prince of Persia graphic novel, read it in 60 minutes or fail

Sep 28th 2008 12:01AM (Joystiq Xbox)
Thanks for referencing the explanation to the reference of the original game.

I felt slightly dumber when I realized that I didn't get the post title on my own.

Point One for you sir.

Fanswag: Win 1600 MS point codes and Assault Heroes 2

Jun 19th 2008 12:30PM (Joystiq Xbox)
First I'd calculate 80 MS Points = $1.00; then, gift the points to a friend overseas where the Euro is king 160 MS Points = 1 Euro, then transfer the points to a friend in Mexico, 1 MS Point = 1000 Pesos. I would invest the difference of my original 80 MS Points into 160,000 Pesos and buy a bitchin' new urban sombrero.

Halo 3 Dew "Game Fuel" available August 13th

Aug 3rd 2007 10:49AM (Joystiq Xbox)
I found this at a local store the other day and purchased one just to try it out. I have to say it was the thickest drink I've ever had. Very sweet and very syrupy. Didn't care for it. I purchased it in a 20oz bottle for $1.19. Which is regular price. It did have Halo 3 on the bottle, but past that I wouldn't drink it again.

Seems like every Mountain Dew product that isn't Mountain Dew isn't good. Baja Blast, Live Wire, Midnight, Red Alert, and now Gamer Fuel.

Save $150 on Xbox 360 premium

Jun 21st 2007 1:20PM (Joystiq Xbox)
I purchased one a while back that was listed as open-box item. It has worked great for the past 4 months and was a deal at $270. Shipping was speedy and I would purchase from them again.

Of course, everyone has their opinion and I bought mine before I saw the BBB listing they had. I may have not bought it from them if I had seen that first, but I didn't, and I'm glad I pulled the trigger on it.

New Zune at Microsoft event on Monday?

May 6th 2007 12:22AM (Engadget)
For the Zune you can convert additional video types to the Zune player software using a simple Registy hack. I've posted it to my website a while back after reading about someone writing one and not releasing it to a wide audience.

I currently watch recorded TV from my Media Center and Divx encoded files on my Zune on a daily basis. The Zune player software on my Vista desktop won't play the files but it will sync the files to my Zune which will play it. I have a link to a registy file that will add Divx, MS-DVR, and MPEG capabilities to the Zune software.

Of course with any registry hack you use at your own risk!

Tom Goes to the Mayor: White Collarless

Jun 26th 2006 10:28PM (AOL TV)
At least if Tom is working in the mine he doesn't have to worry about wind poisoning, Mike Foxx would be proud to see how Tom is taking care of himself.

Fox Gets Ugly

Jun 26th 2006 10:23PM (Cinematical)
Weak, it's a serialized rip-off of The Twilight Zone episode "Number 12 Looks Just Like You" first shown in 1964. At age 19 everyone chooses a body type and is transformed so that there is no such thing as beauty since everyone looks the same.

I'm sure that watching that episode had to be a huge influence for writing the first book, and the fact that it sold well was influence for writing the second and third.

I'm going to start going thru old Twilight Zone episodes and start writing books if that's all it takes.

How to not alienate David Cross

Jun 26th 2006 10:19PM (AOL TV)
He was the giant turd? I thought it was the man from U.N.C.L.E. man can he run for a long time, never thought I'd get away. David Cross you are quite the sprinter.

The Five: Best spaceships on TV

Jun 26th 2006 12:04AM (AOL TV)
Just for the record, the Millenium Falcon was on TV, or has every fanboy finally surpressed the memory of Life Day in the Star Wars Holiday Special? So technically it could be said that it was on TV, just not in it's most glory.

Philips portable media center

Jun 25th 2006 9:31PM (PVR Wire)
I have the very similar in style Samsung YH-999 PMC (which I couldn't recommend high enough) and would love to update to this thing of beauty Philips has created. I love the Portable Media Center devices; great screen, easy to sync media with (at least with my MCE computer), and large enough that watching videos is delightful.

I wonder if it will have the ability to play through composite cables for tv viewing and I also can't figure out how they only have 5 hours available? I guess it's just not powerful enough to encode to a suitable file size and plays it almost at a raw level?
