A sale so soon after pt 3 was released is a bit Grrrr though...or am I just not used to phone app lifecycles?

@TheRealLawrence There's a good game and a good combat system in FFXIII, but it's a little hidden. As people have said, by the time you get to the open world you can potentially rush to the end of the story within a couple of hours. The combat doesn't really shine until you're fighting the harder optional monsters/bosses, and then it's pretty neat.
I played it enough to get the Platinum trophy and never felt it was a boring grind, which is more than I can say for a lot of FF games.
Some people have vocally hated every iteration since X. Although XIV is pretty bad, I don't see that XIII deserves the shit it gets, just for being "yet another FF that isn't a new version of FF7".

No Torne for the rest of us, but I guess it means the Vita will be open to Netflix, Hulu and the like at some point.

Do want, but the important question for me (cuz I'm shallow) is: Is there another frikin "10,000 kills in multiplayer" trophy I have to deal with?

Been waiting for this price job, I've never had any iteration of the DS and kinda wanted to jump. But now...I think Sony has my attention with the PSV. At least that should hold it's price for a year or more.

(and yes, I'm skipping 'Vita' and going straight to 'PSV'. Might be confusing in 15 years, but idk)

@mywhitenoise Borderlands is easily my favorite single-player FPS. Style and sense of humor are spot-on. Drop-in Co-op is fun too, I found it much more easygoing than other shooters. Well worth it at this price

Once again, the PS3 has NO meditative Chakra-opening cosmic alignment-inducing games!
