you can hook projectors and tvs up to your computer. looks to me like he put something together in photoshop and fullscreened it on his monitor or tv and also rounded up a random asian guy and a projector for the second pic. Also, I would assume the obligatory mario in the top left corner would be moving, like some sort of a preview. Notice that in both the projector and tv images he is in the exact same position. Odd to just happen to get the exact frame of a motion image twice in a row. To boot, Nintendo can fork out money for impressive flat panels and likely would not go skimpy on a bubble screen crt like the one in the picture.
