AJ Ballou: I know! When I saw that FPS (so impressive I forgot it's name) I was thinking, 'It's Black! No wait, it's Medal of Honour! Call of Duty? Oh I give up.'

Boooooooooring. Like I need another fucking first-person shooter.

Are we supposed to care? This is what the outage was for? Well colour me unimpressed.

As for the playing while downloading goes, I just play my Gamecube while stuff downloads. ;)

Interview with Space Cowboy Online producer Jason Park

I'd never heard of this game until now, but this Joystiq interview has certainly recruited a memember once the game is released. It looks hot!

Fan-made Wii art surfaces

I got over the whole thing very quickly. At first I was like, "WTF?" just like everyone else, but now I've let it sink in, I don't mind it at all. I can't make "wee" jokes without feeling like I'm 5, and I find it ironic that those that can are usually the ones who call Nintendo "kiddy".

Japanese sales charts, April 17-23: Hello, Mother

"8. I’m surprised there aren’t more Japanese titles on that list."

I'm sorry -- what? I hope that was sarcasm.

Lumines Plus to drop on PS2

Apr 26th 2006 9:41PM (Joystiq)
"I just lost every reason to keep my PSP. You'd think Sony would think more about putting the PSP's killer apps on their aging console."

If you seriously believe that, then you should sell your PSP immediately. However, you probably don't own one, you're most likely a smelly Nintendo troll.

I bought into the Sony hype and picked up a Japanese PSP waaaay back in 2004. I got Ridge Racers and Lumines -- both quality titles that gave me faith in the machine. Since then I've only picked up Ghost in the Shell (and only because I collect GitS stuff). One game in over a year. That's because nothing else on the PSP is worth buying. It's either ports of games I played 10 years ago, or versions of Playstation 2 games I don't like. It totally fails as a portable device because none of the games lend themselves to "I've gotta kill 5 minutes while waiting in line."

I've held onto it in the hopes that something decent will come out on it, but basically I've been keeping it because Lumines is a brilliant game. But if there's an updated port coming to the PS2, then why would I hold onto the machine?

I love it how whenever someone expresses disappointment in something, they've always got to be a "troll" who doesn't own one. Maybe I'm pissed off because my PSP (plus memory stick, plus games) was a lot of money and it's failed to reward my investment?

Sega returns to the court with Virtua Tennis 3

Apr 25th 2006 8:21PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Meh, Top Spin 2 isn't all that great. Even if Virtua Tennis 3 is just a better looking version of Virtua Tennis 2, it'll still be the better tennis title. ;)
