I rather like stylized or "cartoony" games when they're done well. I find them infinitely more interesting than the brown/grey palette most games made in the last few years have been sporting, so it's always refreshing to see a game made in this way. I still love Nintendo's games, especially Mario, and it always gives me a chuckle when so-called "mature" gamers cite the colorful "kiddy" art style as a reason for not playing them.

To cite the oft-quoted C.S. Lewis on the matter: "When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."

GemStone III (now known as GemStone IV) was a text-based MUD that really took off on GEnie and then AOL; at the time, graphical MMORPGs were pretty much unheard of, besides games like SSI's original AD&D "Goldbox" style Neverwinter Nights.

I played that game from 1993 to around 2009. Sixteen years of text-based goodness. Even today, there are things I feel graphical MMO's could learn from GSIV.

Interesting bit of trivia: GemStone's parent company, Simutronics, would go on to develop Hero Engine, which should ring a bell for everyone following The Old Republic.

I like shitty MS points, because I can find shitty MS points on sale. I have yet to find money on sale, sadly.

I've only recently decided to get my feet wet as a healer, so I may not have a base for comparison that other posters have from healing in previous expansions, but I'm quite pleased with the spec at this point. I haven't run into any mana roadblocks healing 5-mans, mostly just by being aware of how much damage my spells heal, casting accordingly, and taking advantage of my free heals as much as possible.

After trying both of them out, I'm more keen on Move than Kinect, in terms of implementation. There are only a couple of games out right now that I'm interested in for the Move (Sly, the upcoming No More Heroes HD), though, and none for Kinect so I'm going to need to see more before I shell out the cash for either.
