Seeing Resident Evil 5 box, still waiting on demo

Dec 18th 2008 3:54PM (Joystiq)
Am I the only one that is noticing Chris has developed some huge arms? WTF is up with that? Pumping roids?

Alot of what I've seen of this is starting to smack of RE4, just upgraded arms and visuals....with a smattering of RE0 type gameplay....is this correct for those that have played the demo already?

Still looking forward to it though.

There is nothing in this list that is for me.

Nintendo considering new Wiimote accelerometer tech

I can say this - Kionix makes a good gyro, for realz.

Though the consumer in me wonders what this will mean for Wii and my wallet.....and games I already own that use motion to change into on-screen action.

Cos these gyros are sensitive.

DS Daily: Tamed World

Wild World - every day for the past two years. My town is amazing - the money trees, the hard to get pics...
no. none of you are worthy to visit.

Sony's Koller 'very interested' in Guitar Hero game on PSP

Nov 18th 2008 1:45PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Yeah, I guess the USB port is the same on all models?? Pass for me though, last thing I need is yet even MORE GH peripherials to store. And for a handheld at that. Pfft. I'm content to be content with my DS version for a handheld.

Although I bet they could really do a smashing job, I doubted how they would do it on the DS....and that was pretty cool IMHO. Very impressed.

Wii Warm Up: Your thoughts on Animal Crossing?

Nov 18th 2008 10:43AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I think AC is a very subtle hardcore game, I know people that having been playing for years. So, the user base already knows what's in store - more of the same with a limited amount of 'new' stuff.

WiFi really opened the game up to another level, the Cube version is the weakest in the bunch. If you've never played before - then City Folk is prolly the best to jump into....Wild World is probably the best game ever made. (Zips up flamesuit) It combines all the right elements...I dunno...I've been playing two years solid, every day....and there are still items I have yet to collect.

City Folk - more of the same, just bigger and better. If you already know AC, then you know what you'll get out of it. If you don't know AC then CF is the one to try out and you'll need to put in a least a full weekend of playtime to draw an accurate conclusion on the game - it's too big and involved (oddly enough) to reach a verdict after a few hours of playtime.

I will agree with the statement from some site on City Folk that the addition of the 'City' area is not enough to warranty the sub title of the game.

Only 35% of PSP owners play music and videos

Nov 12th 2008 11:54AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Well, I use all the features on my PSP, video and music are regular. I even listen to the internet radio quite frequently and have some pictures. AND the browser, mobile sites are best because they are mostly text and fast loading. I'm probably on the other features more than I am gaming on it. Just waiting for that Resistance demo to become available...and RE2 to drop to PS Store.

I did however go and buy an 8G stick.

It's the perfect device for around the home IMHO.

Ed Boon on the Revolution controller

driving games? you obviously have no imagination and have been conditioned by the industry - imagine using the nunchuck config for a driving game - you use the stick and shoulder for sterring and gas / clutch or brake (there are two buttons there ya know) and the remote for *looking around in the car out the windows* while using the additional buttons on the remote for either clutch / brake / weapons....clearly you are jaded and cannot think beyond the sights before your eyes...moron

fighting games - well, there're boring as hell anymore, but imagine using the nunchuck config again - stick to move in 3-d, but using the remote for attack - how? well there are adequate buttons there again. what about high med and low attacks? the angle of the remote determines the type attack - tilt up and press A for high hard, tilt down for low , straight on for med - with the additional buttons - the options are enormous - stop thinking in the box.

this will enbale beginners to hardcore players to have the control they desire (or think they desire), it's all in your thinking approach - and apparently there is a lack of thinking going on.
