Very nice photos indeed. I thought they were stock images at one point.

Brando HD Media Player Docking Station does multi-format 1080p

On a related note... anyone know how to store your 3.5" external bare drives? I have a collection piling up and don't know how to safe guard them.

iTunes 8.2.1 brings Pre's music syncing capability to a halt (updated)

Seriosly... doesn't this simply make Apple royal dicks? So what? Most likely Palm Pre users who are opting to sync with iTunes have an iPod, so you already got their money right?

Xrecode: Simple utility for converting audio formats

you should most definitely include dbpoweramp - http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm. They don't call it the swiss army knife of audio conversion for no reason!

Joshua, you are most definitely handling the whole situation in a very wrong way. Has engadget not matured enough to handle the diverse nature of the 'internets?'

Unless you guys deleted the really "hateful" comments on the storm article, I didn't think it was that bad. In fact I enjoyed them. Didn't satisfy what I come here to do, which is catch up on gadget news. But sometimes that's a good thing too.
You seriously can't say you don't understand why people think you are Apple fanboys? I even thought your offices were based in Cupertino, actually the number of posts covering a single Apple event would actually physically require you to be situated over there. But I don't hate you for it, nor does it imply that I can't get my gadget fix from all your other articles. It's about taking the good with the bad. Just like your commenters. Lucky for you, there are more good commenters than "hateful" ones.

Grow up guys. And way to turn this into "news" that I am sure will get posted on other blogs.

GTA IV edited for Australia

Apr 5th 2008 7:49AM (Joystiq)
and the real stupid part is every time i view a hell's kitchen episode from a US source, it is all censored, where as the episodes that play here in Australia are broadcast just is. Where else can you hear the "C" word on national TV?
ironic.

Hands-on with the Canon EOS Rebel XSi DSLR

Jan 31st 2008 6:00AM (Engadget)
Actually you are right about the button layout but not about the camera brand. It is actually a Fuji SLR who use Nikon SLR bodies. I can tell from the SP1 SP2 etc. options on the dial.

Still definitely NOT a Canon though :)

And thank god for no 5D replacement as I would hate for my invesment to be obsolete :)

HP's iPaq 210 shakes off numerous delays, finally available

I've been struggling with the whole convergence thing as of late. The only reason why I am not is because of bulk. I like my PDA, I use it for reading ebooks and watching tv shows on public transport and while cycling at the gym. I have a dell x51v which has a vga screen (one of those things that once you have you can not go back) and the screen resolution and size is perfect. There's a plethora of choice for applications that do a plethora of things (do you have the choice with the iphone or itouch??)

If I am going out, I don't want to carry the bulk of a smart phone. I have a w880i which is thin and fits snugly in my pocket. I make calls with it and forget it is there when I am not using it for what it was designed for (ie. making calls :)

i am actually considering buying this for the above reasons. I want a big screen, fast processor and lots of memory with options (SD/ CF) but I want it in a size that won't bother me when I am going out. Don't think so.
