Mar 12th 2009 9:29AM (Engadget)Yeah, I get the idea of the Shuffle being pretty much for people who just wanna play their music in whatever order the player decides while they're jogging, but darn it, the lost simplicity. The old Shuffles had just enough controls, and while I applaud the simplicity in design... Oh well, people who like Shuffles are gonna learn how to use the controls and be pros. Nov 29th 2008 11:19AM (Engadget)However, as a computer I use all day and all night? HECK YEAH! When I first got my Eee (a 4GB 701 running Linux), I closed it down when I was done with it and I went back to the big computer. Now, since I've got wine running on it, I only need to go to my main computer to do design work. I even type up long documents on my Eee. I spend all day on IRC, browsing webpages, lurking in Ventrilo, streaming music over my home network, watching videos, and blogging. It just chills out at the foot of my bed even while I'm sleeping awaiting me to see what awaits for me in the morning.
I wouldn't have imagined myself using it everyday when I bought it and I think if I lost or rendered it unusable, I would totally be lost.
