Can playing WoW improve your brain power?

Mar 29th 2012 6:25PM (WoW)
Playing more WOW improves the part of my brain that makes me good at WOW.
That's what really counts!

Final Fantasy XIII-2 offers Mass Effect costume DLC in Japan

@Florkfz6

Agreed. Western game development continues to evolve and JRPGs remain stuck in the same place as always, making only token gestures (like literally borrowing from successful western games, in this case) to appeal to appeal to a wider audience.

Wouldn't this be cool? Garrosh and the Shadow Council

Mar 21st 2012 7:20PM (WoW)
This is a blog, not strictly a news site. If you just want dry facts go read the blue posts on the official Wow site.

Btw, it's been confirmed that the Siege of Orgrimmar raid will be cross-faction and once you kill Garrosh you will have the ability to permanently turn off your PVP flag and speak all languages. And that's the news....

Now go away. :)

Japanese game industry, you're suppose to borrow design philosophy and technique from Western developers, not their actual art assets!

Blue Posts: (More) LFR loot rules clarification, item squish, DotA-style BG, spoilers

I would like the loot system to choose, let's say, five random people from the 25-man raid and say "you won... something", then scan your currently equipped items, find the lowest ilvl, and drop a suitable replacement. You'd still have a low chance of winning anything, but when you did, it would actually be useful to you. This would not apply to tier tokens, those would follow the new loot system described in the blue posts. If Blizz felt people were gearing too fast as a result, fine: reduce it to 4 random people instead of 5.

Mists of Pandaria tries to breathe new life into an old World of Warcraft

@(Unverified)

Yeah, what Prince David said. Seriously, READ more it! I mean, they already confirmed the final raid boss is the current Horde Warchief, Garrosh Hellscream. If that doesn't embody the classic "orcs vs. humans" I don't know what does....

@Tiradyn

Personally my endgame is when I'm level 100 and can solo the Lich King. So I'll be sticking around for quite some time yet :)

Encrypted Text: Shuriken Toss breaks all the rules

@Bumblebee

Oooo maybe Warriors could throw their banners, causing damage, similar to the totem on the Echo of Baine fight. Also, Shattering Throw should be spammable, instead of being on a 5 minute cooldown. Less powerful to compensate, of course.

What every brand new WoW player should know

City guards are very helpful. Talk to them.

Encrypted Text: Shuriken Toss breaks all the rules

Mar 14th 2012 4:35PM (WoW)
Agreed Rogues hurt the worst, but I would also like to see Warrior given a decent ranged ability. I'm thinking "Shoot" for Warriors rather than weapon tosses, but it's spammable, no minimum range, uses rage (or generates rage depending on how they want warriors to manage rage) and has a 20 yrd max range so they're not too much like hunters.
