Nintendo is basically milking the early adopter/hardcore gamer with the $250 make-a-hardware-profit price tag...expect a price drop when sales start to decrease, prolly sometime after March 2007. Nintendo will then reduce the price to $200, at the very least. by summer 2007, the Wii will most likely have an install base of 6 million plus systems, have huge 3rd party support, and will have kicked off the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service in full gear on the Wii. THIS is when the casual/non gamer, not taking into account the japanese DS Lite-worshipping freaks, will start purchasing Wii systems.
man! roughly a quarter million units in a week! as far as im concerned, Ninty has already won the videogame system wars with the DS Lite! no way can any other game system, handheld or home, match up to the sales of the DSL...
doesnt seem like its gonna be any Wii related news that we're expecting, from what Kotaku alluded to.
im guessing an Xbox/Zune handheld...it would be a next-gen/new console(Joystiq calls it a next gen console, Kotaku calls its a new console) plus its something we arent expecting.
on top of that, as previously mentioned, there's supposed to be some important Microsoft/Xbox related news thats supposed to come out.
we all know Microsoft's crazy viral marketing campaigns...perhaps this is the start of another one?
well, in any case, here's to hoping we dont get disapointed when midnight strikes and, on a final note, Wii60 FTW!!(screw Sony)
Nintendo might give a preview/teaser about a revolutionary peripheral that will be bundled with the Wii. this device will have a bigger wow factor than even the Wiimote, peace
Nintendo expects Mom to leave notes on your Wii
