I say bring it on. Discs for me are over. On my PS2 I play all my games off the HDD (FFXI and my games which I ripped). When I buy music I buy CDs but I never use them really. I rip the music and put it on my PSP. The only time the discs get played is on the way home I put it in my truck's cd player. After that it sits in a disc tray.

Now with the ability to turn the consoles on with the controller and being able to web browse, use an OS, and view/listen to saved media I say get rid of discs. The reason I never bought UMD movies for my PSP is because I didnt want to carry a ton of UMDs with me. My UMD case carries 8 UMDs which I use for games. As soon as Connect allows me to download PSP movies I will. It still agrivates me when Sony puts out demo UMDs like Killzone. After Loco Roco where all I had to do was visit a site on the browser and download it, thats what I want! I dont want UMD demos or digital demos where I have to make a folder with the PC. I just want direct system to net download where Sony does everything for me.

I cant wait for demos to become prevalent for PS3 games. I'll no longer have to rent games. The industry would make alot of money that way too. By putting out demos they could criple the rental industry which lets you play the whole game for $3. Its time for digital distribution to play a bigger factor. But for PS3 games and movies give me Bluray because I want the best gaming/movie experience on my home console. But for everything else download is the way.

Who cares about Halo. It wasnt even that good a game and Halo 2 dropped the ball big time. RESISTANCE looks great and I'm happy its getting good press. But quit comparing it to Halo. Halo uses a tired Scifi theme with plastic wet graphics where RESISTANCE is apart of a new subgenre for FPS (Fantasy WWII). Killzone started it by making a gritty WWII esque game with fictional elements. RESISTANCE picks up from there and adds in aliens and some horror as well.

For me Halo 3 wont be anything compared to Gears of War.

For a website called PS3 Fanboy it sure does have alot of Xbots on it.

Thats what I was thinking John. Considering Ericsson has Cyber-Shot and Walkman branded phones this is a severe possibility. Plus Sony has a claim on the most popular music phone in the market. They probably want a jump on gaming phones as well.

Yes! Phsycis and AI is what is going to make next gen. Graphics get old after 10 minutes. Think about games like Brothers in Arms. They would be the same as last gen without any AI increase.

I'm glad you mention EyetoyHD. Im a big supporter of it and EyetoyPSP. Im also a PSWii fan. With Eyetoy, Wii, and PS3 tilt I think motion will become second nature. Playing a 360 will seem old and stail in comparison.

Think about Killzone PS3's trailer. People were awed by the fake graphics. But what made everyone go insane was the scripting. It was the fake AI that made everyone scrutinize it so much. Graphical jumps arent that impressive anymore. AI and Physics however are. They actually make the game more immersive and real.

Yeah so Sony is making a service like Live, so what. M$ copied Apple's OS. In fact if it wasnt for stealing ideas M$ would have never gotten anywhere. M$ is also coppying all the music download services like Apple's iTunes and Sony's Connect with their own called URGE (really stupid name). M$ also ripped the idea of two analogues from Sony who ripped the Analogue off of Nintendo. Both Sony and M$ rip off ideas, get real people. To say Sony sucks because they steal ideas but M$ doesnt is not only hypocritical but just plain stupid. [Flame].
