@(Unverified) - I totally agree, I would MUCH rather have Freddy Krueger than half of the new characters that was announced for MvC3, a stupid Lawyer, flying devil, a dumb raccoon, a photographer, and yet another Resident Evil character... At least MK added a character that kind of fits in the game and not something totally stupid...

I was really thinking it would have been Frost for some reason, mainly just because there was only one new female character, so thought maybe they would have even it up, but like I said I'd take Freddy any day...

The only thing I do agree about with most people is just the two gloves issue? But I'll get used to it and it won't be a big deal... As far as them using the new Freddy, I don't care, I liked the new movie and liked the old ones, if anything the new Freddy fits more in this MK than the old one would have anyways.... The only thing I didn't like about the new NOES movies was that the teens/kids did NOT look like teens, they looked like they were mid 20's adults, but that's the norm now in all movies that has characters that are supposedly in High School... Just look at the new Spider-man reboot, Parker does not look like a Sophomore/Junior which is what he's supposed to be since they are going off of the Ultimate Universe story line... The person playing Parker looks way to old, again, like someone in their mid 20's which he actually is IRL...

So whatever, I digg it and for once was actually surprised...

The only thing that is annoying as all hell is Parker does NOT look like a high school student at all and if this is supposed to be in the Ultimate universe then isn't he supposed to look MUCH younger than he appears in this? Hell, Tobey looked younger in the first Spider-Man than this guy does...

Guess they're still just going with the trend of casting 25+ year old actors to play as teens in high school which is so annoying. Especially in the new Nightmare on Elm St where the "ki8ds/teens" just doesn't look like they should even be in high school anymore...

Oh and I'm talking about the movie trailer... Can't wait till the new game comes out, I've liked all the Spider-Man games, but like others, kind of wish they would make it more open than just a linear gameplay and just "exploring" in the said level your in at the time....

WOW! Now I see WHY Capcom keeps doing this to their fighting games. Because ALL YOU FANBOYS that actually think these new added "fighters" are actually worth it and already running to pre-order a copy because Gamestop makes you think that there just possibly won't be enough to get when it comes out unless you pre-order..... LAME...

Seriously people, they went and just completely dropped the ball on the Capcom side of new fighters. a stupid lawyer, Phoenix Wright? Firebrand, seriously? Nemesis, there's already 3 RE characters in it and they don't even come from a fighting game, and then Frank West, come on Capcom can do WAAAYYYY better than that considering the HUGE selection of characters they have in their other fighting game series...

The Marvel side looks OK, only stupid character is the stupid Raccoon... Again, he's just another character that just shouldn't be in this game like some of the ones in the original one.... They should have let the FANS vote for characters instead of just adding a whole bunch of stupid characters from other games that aren't even a fighting game!!!

If anything this should have been DLC, that way we could just purchase the fighters we wanted because I can already see no one using those characters (except for when it first comes out) unless there is something cheesy/cheep about them, kind of like Sentinel before he was patched. These are just forgettable characters period...

Only way I'll even consider getting this is if it's $20 or less, which I'm sure it won't be, so if anything it'll probably be used for that amount later down the road. So sick of Capcom. MvC3 hasn't even been out for a year yet and they're already releasing a whole new disc version instead of just doing DLC... But I blame you FANBOYS for always opening your wallets (or your parents wallet) and giving them your money for any new version they release...

Until you people can stop doing that, then Capcom will just continue to release a $60 game and then within a few months or so, but less than a year, release a whole new version again with just a little bit added and a more complete version... So while some of it is Capcom's fault, majority of it is you fanboys that keep purchasing everything they keep dumping out....

I'm all for adding new characters, but they really need to release it as DLC. That's the WHOLE REASON why there is DLC, to extend the life of a game by adding new content, expansion like packs, etc...

MvC3 hasn't even been out for a year and they might already be looking to re-package it like they did with Super Street Fighter 4.... If AE ended up being a disc only release then I for sure wouldn't have gotten it since I don't really play it all that much in the first place.

The sucky part is that all the fan boys will be there cheering their announcement and what not even if it's a whole new disc only version (even if it's a full $60) and those same people will be out there buying it up when it comes out, now if they were to boo them if that becomes the announcement and then not go out and buy it when it's released, maybe Capcom will stop doing this crap...

I'm really hoping it's available as DLC and not just as a retail version only. Even if it was $20 I'd get it. $25 would be the max though, that is if the rumor is true about it having 12 new characters (hopefully characters that SHOULD have been included in the first place and not a bunch of other random nobodies that people don't care about or want).

Guess we'll just have to wait and see before we get to much in a up roar. For all we know it could be something totally different, or like AE just be added via DLC...

@sigma8 - Yeah that's what I ment... It was just more for all the people who went and bragged about activating their stuff within the first day/week and saying that we were in the wrong for waiting till the last day or two to activate our trial...

I was one that waited till the 3rd because there was nothing that got released or promo'd during the month of June and because their blog/FAQ's said the whole welcome back program would be valid "through July 3rd" and that "it would be removed once that date has passed". Then people blamed us like it was our fault, when it was Sony's which they realized and ended up turning it back on for like 36hrs since they turned it off a day early....

So that's all, but like I said, there still hasn't been anything that great still, but those sale prices are pretty good and definitely has me interested in at least one of the games. Just need to make sure it's 1080i compatible or if it's 720p only which would make it downscale to 480p on my TV since mine doesn't support 720p, so it would look like crap if it's not 1080i compatible at the very least. But that's a whole other discussion... lol

Now see, this is why some of us were waiting till the last day or even the day before the last to redeem the free PS+ trial. Sure there's still nothing THAT great, but some of those sales are decent. I was just about to get Shank also like right after I activated the trial because it was on sale then to, but good thing I didn't as now it dropped even lower in price (for PS+ members)...

Though, that's the only somewhat good thing though is just the sale prices being lower for PS+ members. Golden Axe I already have twice, once from XBLA and then it was included in that Genesis disc that has all kinds of Genesis and their Arcade ports as well. Think it's called Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection or something like that? So that free game is no big deal....

I just wonder what happened to them saying they were going to update the PS Store twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday until they caught up on all the releases they got behind due to the outage. Obviously that never happened and doesn't look like it will happen?

This sucks. Here we have to pay MORE for the costumes on the console versions, but people on the PC version get to get ALL of them for just $15? WTH is up with that? Unless they mean each complete pack is $!5 like the Super Alt Pack and then the Ultra Pack, but even if that's the case that's still slightly cheaper than on the console as those are like $17 or so I believe?

Not to mention like some have said, the PC version can also have their own custom made costumes which users sometimes make ones that are a lot better than what Capcom releases. For instance, the two chef costumes for the twins? Talk about lazy by making both of them "chefs" and just the whole concept is just dumb. But it's not just them. A lot of other characters have way worse costumes then those. It might just be me, but I really don't like the ones for Akuma, etc.. that have those huge rope things on their back. Just looks way to tacky and not something a person would wear in a "fight", or Kens cowboy costume? That has to be one of the worst ones available to be honest....

I got the whole "Super" pack (the one before the Ultra one, which I believe is called Super or Super something?) thinking some of the costumes that I actually liked were in that one, but they weren't. I don't play this game all that much to really warrant buying the complete Ultra pack unless it drops in price. Even then, Capcom should just release the costumes for free, if anything just to "give back" or show appreciation to us fans that have supported them and made SF4, SSF4, and the AE pack a success.

In all I got SF4 when it first came out, and I got the LE version as well that came with the Ryu and Viper tiny figurines and a animated movie on DVD. Then I went and got SSF4 when it first came out as well. I don't think that one came out with a SE or LE and just got the regular one with the strategy guide and that was like $20 and is kind of useless now with some of the tweaks they made and characters added. I think I got all the costume packs in SF4 and that's when I got them all individually when they were released because we didn't know at the time that they were going to end up releasing all of them in one big pack later on or I would have just waited for that. Then like I mentioned I got the Super costume pack for SSF4.

It was nice though that they made the costumes that came out in SF4 automatically available in SSF4, so getting those costumes then to have a whole new game/disc wasn't that bad. If we had to re-purchase them, then yeah that would have sucked.

And this is just me. There's way more that have gotten every single DLC that they have released and a lot that get them as soon as their released instead of waiting for the all in one packs. So you KNOW they have had to make a ton off of us on these two games and not with AE out with the people who either got the DLC or waited and just got the disc version even though they have SSF4. So I'm sure a lot have basically double and triple dipped for pretty much the same game, just with added characters and tweaks....

Like I stated before, we who waited till the last day or two does not have to justify why we waited to claim whatever else needed to be claimed by then. Mainly because Sony said it clear as day, not once, but TWICE (or at least made it appear) that the program would be available until AFTER July 3rd.

Majority of us that waited had already gotten our games and was just waiting till we thought was the BEST time to claim/activate the free 30 day trial. I've always been interested in the PS+ program, and this trial was going to basically help me decide if I continued it or not. I waited because there was NOTHING that suited my tastes that was offered or available for PS+ members through the month of June. If there was then I would have most definitely claimed/activated it a lot sooner.

However I and so many others decided to wait so that way we could maximize the free trial offer to best suit our interests. It was perfectly clear that the WB promo/tab should have still remained in the PS Store until after July 3rd has passed. As well as seeing that the store isn't even turned on yet in Japan as well as the blog/FAQ's was posted on the US PS Blog also clearly shows that it should have still been up until the date changed to July 4th.

All you people that are trying to blame us have no real arguments and just making yourselves look stupid. Honestly. Or maybe you all are upset because you guys wasted your free trial by claiming it early and all sad cause nothing really worthwhile was released during that time and now you guys are worried that there just might be some better stuff released this month and you all missed out on it unless you renew your PS+ subscription? That's what it looks like to us.

Now that Sony fixed THEIR mistake and made it perfectly clear on when it will end and be removed then there is no excuses after 9am PST July 5th. I know there are still others that might be having problems or no internet, or whatever the case may be. Those people can be calling into Sony for assistance, go to a friends or family members house to get what they need through their internet or whatever. From what I believe, people just have to at least get it to their carts and check out. The actual downloading can be delayed or done at another time. The free trial is just like a 1 sec download/activation. So really there's no excuse for not at least getting that before the extended end time.

I don't agree with anyone that has said it was our fault, because clearly it wasn't when Sony said that it would be removed after July 3rd has passed. But I will agree that there really isn't any other excuse for at least not claiming the items with this new end time. Now if Sony goes and does the same thing and pull it BEFORE 7/5 or 9am PST/12pm EST then it's yet again Sony's fault. The people that did not know it got extended or is busy today could be waiting till tomorrow morning to get what they need and there's nothing wrong with that, but if there's a power/internet outage or whatever, then that's definitely a chance they're taking. Just as long as Sony keeps their word and doesn't pull it down before the new time then there will be no blame other than those that decided to take another chance. I myself claimed the 30days immediately last night once I saw that it was put back up, just in case it went back down because I was planning to get it during the day on the 3rd. So definitely wasn't going to wait or try to push it to the last minute/hour...

IT'S BACK ON!!!! JUST CHECKED!!! I am NOT joking! All I needed was the 30 day trial and just got it now!!!! I am in Mountain Standard Time, it's 12:18am right now... Definitely weird it came back on right away, but it is back on...

All the people/kids, saying we should have claimed our stuff sooner and bragging about it is just stupid. If they already got their stuff then they have NO BUSINESS posting in this story or have anything to say for that matter.

We don't have to explain ourselves on why we WANTED to wait till July 3rd to either claim our stuff or at the very least activate our free PS+ trial. I got all the games for PS3 and PSP (the two free for each) already. I just was waiting till today to activate the PS+ trial because there was NOTHING good or worth while released during the last month. I already have Sonic 2 twice on the 360 XBLA and on the Genesis Disc for 360, same with Streets of Rage 2 which was another of their "free" PS+ games.

The PS+ trial was 30 days from the date of activation and a lot of us wanted to basically use it through the month of July to the beginning of August when it would have expired. I could and was about to get it yesterday, but I DOUBLE CHECKED all the FAQ's and everything and EVERYTHING pointed to the WB Pack would be removed AFTER July 3rd. Not on or before, but AFTER. That means that I should have been able to redeem the trial anytime today if I so wished to. PERIOD!

This was and is false advertising at it's finest and not surprisingly it's from Sony. Now if it said through the 2nd or it would be removed ON the 3rd, then fine, but that's not what it said and most of us weren't waiting till the 4th. So all you people thinking that you're in the "right" because you got it early are so clearly not. So get off your high horses and go do something else instead of posting non sense.

Sony NEEDS to put the WB package up again, even if it's just for 24hrs because they cut it off a day earlier then when it was SUPPOSED to end according to all their statements and their FAQ's. Simple as that. This is something they can be taken to court over and while it is something small and something that was "free", it's still false advertising and I'm sure there will be plenty of lawyers out there willing to start up a class action lawsuit against them for this. You fools are no better for getting it "early" than us that wanted to wait to get it when we felt we could have gotten more use of it by using/claiming it by today because that's what we were told. So just give it up....
