Former InstantAction CEO Lou Castle goes to Zynga

Mar 9th 2011 11:17AM (Joystiq)
Has anyone else noticed that Zynga's logo is the same as that old TV show Dog Eat Dog?

Pocket Legends adds in all new content

Mar 8th 2011 12:40PM (Massively)
For the love of everything holy.

If you have a link that should obviously link to the website, please link it to the website, and not a search on your site for the game.

"For more details, head over to the Pocket Legends site"... The "Pocket Legends" link should link to their homepage, not your site.

Thank you for your consideration.

PopCap considering IPO, not likely revealing any new IP in 2011

Mar 7th 2011 2:21PM (Joystiq)
So, with Popcap going public (among other companies), would Joystiq like to do an article on stock trading? Seems like the gamer generation is moving into the age bracket where stock trading is viable, and I for one have no idea where to start.

Oh god, I didn't know BYOND still existed. I haven't heard anything about it since 2000.

Battlefield 3 gameplay footage, 'Back to Karkand' DLC confirmed

Feb 23rd 2011 10:28AM (Joystiq)
So wait... is a Limited Edition copy just the normal game, but purchased at launch? I'm gonna be getting this on PC, so if Steam has it, I'm preordering it there, which means I'm not springing for a digital collector's edition.

Bulletstorm 'Gun Sonata' DLC coming this spring

Feb 22nd 2011 4:57PM (Joystiq)
Wow, the game hasn't even been out a full 24 hours and we're announcing DLC.

Seriously. Why do this? If you're gonna make DLC, at LEAST make it come a few months down the road, when we're sick of the base game's offering. Fallout has it just about right.

@Manabyte

Or ridge racer 64, for that matter.

The developer is Namco.

Ridge Racer on my PC?

Noooo. That's impossible.

OnLive's flat-rate PlayPack plan is live for all, debuts with 38 games

Feb 1st 2011 12:53PM (Joystiq)
@whatthegeek

Exactly. Here at work, the connection is wired, stable, and is the fastest connection our local Cox ISP provides. The games are stable (if a bit muddy looking thanks to compression) but the input lag is noticeable, if slight. At home, on wireless (despite being less than 10 feet from the router) there are stutters and stalls everywhere, even if I do have the fastest residential service- Wireless is a huge detriment.

There's a 30-minute demo on almost every game on the service, try it out.

With that said, I'm not in love with onlive, but it's actually shaping up to be halfway decent.
