EA takes on Steam with Origin, the only place to download The Old Republic
Jun 3rd 2011 5:28PM (Joystiq)Depends on the game. Steam has its own copy-protection system, but it also doesn't restrict publishers from adding another on top of it. Some games on Steam still have silly requirements like an active internet connection or install restrictions.

Jun 3rd 2011 1:23PM (Joystiq)Ditto, and I've been waiting for a controller with that layout (including convex triggers, thank you) AND motion control built in. For some reason, a majority of controller manufacturers neglect this feature, despite some games requiring it.

RedLynx's MotoHeroz has music from Alan Wake composer, hear it in this trailer
Jan 18th 2011 1:35PM (Joystiq)Shame, this looks like a more fun Trials HD focused on party play as opposed to ruthless precision.
XBLA in Brief: Zeit2 [update: controls can be un-inverted]
Jan 12th 2011 3:55PM (Joystiq)They took that feature out a while ago, saying "Does anyone actually use that thing?"
MS just didn't realize how big XBLA would be, both in file size and breadth of content, when deciding to offer that feature.
Vizio 'Versus' offers two-player head-to-head gaming on one screen (video inside!)
Jan 6th 2011 2:49PM (Joystiq)Well, manufacturers could just make it twice as expensive, or more. It's a space-saving feature.
I wouldn't like if they did that, but I think they can find some way to release such technology without jeopardizing their current market.

Jan 6th 2011 2:48PM (Joystiq)Well, DVDs are 480P, but yeah, the resolution is still low.
