Is it possible to load the European patch for my American game? Like in X360 I just made a different Live account for a different country if I wanted to download something. Is the PS3 the same?

People need to get out of their American isolation. He could have meant games released "worldwide". My good friend once found a website that listed PS1 games released in Japan...and we never see most of them. They also look appeared crappy (IMHO) from the descriptions I read of them, but they were "released"
I am sure he is forgetting to say "100 games next year that are good, 280 that are the mini games released in Japan"

They are making him actually put a game in there....and he's having a hard time. The game looks interesting the first time through...but I could see it getting old very fast.

You should research how Corporate Officers are hired before making such a statement. My father-in-law was an officer and he explained the concept to me. CEOs, CIOs, etc... are usually paid per contract. These contracts say "You must meet blah blah blah" and such to be compensated. When a company hires a CEO, they also must write up a contract. Now, keep in mind, these are NOT the rank and file workers. It's not like CEOs are a dime a dozen. Usually companies hire CEOs away from their current companies to take over at the hiring company. Now, to do this, they have to sweeten the pot for the new hire. Plus, the CEO is going to ask for some kind of security so they aren't fired in 2 months after they start at the new company with nowhere to go. So...complain about the "golden parachute" clause all you want... but at least have an understanding how these things are done.

How about the Joystiq writer who said Nintendo was in trouble for MAKING A PROFIT on their console?

I would ahve told the guy "Dude, I am the type of person that tore apart my entire wirings of my DVD player, HDTV DVR box, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox360 to figure out why I saw a slight amount of interference lines on my PS2 when I played games. So... YES! I WOULD NOTICE!"

#20 For GC I believe you have to hold the "B" button oin startup of a game to kick it in Progressive mode. Almost 100% of Wii software is Progressive Scan 16:9 enhanced.
