Exactly!

Though I do find it heartening now that most of these "Get 'em Sony" comments are being downvoted.

@Mika101

Okay this is the attitude on Joystiq that has been really irritating me lately.

Look: the right of the individual to do as they please on their personal property is a debatable topic - especially when it breaches the rights of others (online). Likewise, Sony's removal of the Other OS feature is again an equally controversial.

But when it comes to the eradication of privacy in a crusade against hackers - then that's when they've gone too far. Nearly all the sites I watch that cover this whole fiasco has linked to "Geonotz" site. So you're trying to inform me that Sony has my IP address from visiting a website...when I don't even own a PS3? It's an invasion of privacy and its pissing a lot of people off.

It's not a matter of the company: if Nintendo started to track IP's of anyone visiting the R4 website, for instance, shit would hit the fan.

So seriously Joystiq, can we stop trying to shrink this into a dichotomy of "buyers vs pirates" and realise what is actually going on here?

In reality, I'd chose the Journeyman Project, but that probably disqualifies me so....

How do you go about changing your email address? My account is tied to one I deleted...so I won't even know if I won anyway.

@TJF

You just have to go to the Flash Manager and delete the temp file. It's not IP based. And yeah, it was good, but not very twisty or very exciting.
