do these fall updates kill modified xbox 360s? (aka 360s with flashed firmware)

competition keeps the monopoly away. do you really want a blu-ray only world? sure, this thing has to get settled, but think about it, if microsoft backs down, who the hell can tell sony to stop selling blu-rays for ridiculous prices. c'mon, think a little.

hey, not everyone lives in a country where this magical 3year warranty fixes anything. I live in china, sure, we get the 360's here and we might even get the falcon systems the same time as you guys do. does it change the fact that an RROD will waste our money. YES! because we don't have warranty here. even if we did, astronomical shipping rates are a bitch. I bought an xbox 360 and the guy told me that once it RRODs, that's it. It did, and i like the console, but i don't have enough money to buy a new one.

Sooo, does this come with the deemed xbox "savior" 65nm? or is this basically repackaged surplus 90nm?

I'd like to buy it, but no way I'm risking my money on a 90nm when i live in a country where that 3year warranty everyone seems to think is nice gesture from MS has no effect.
