Here's one idea for a study I just had while reading your comment:
Randomize subjects into three groups: one who plays a non-violent game such as Kinectimals, one who plays a "violent" game (like Super Mario,) and one who plays an unquestionably violent game (i.e. Gears of War.)

Prior to having the subjects play the games, hook them up to a PET scan and have them think about or describe someone they strongly dislike.

Then, have each group play its respective game for a certain period of time, and then repeat the PET scan process.

From there, compare and contrast pre and post game brain activity.

You might want to look into Guild Wars if you're looking for a more casual style MMO with relatively little mandatory grind; it's buy once to play and there's tons of content; Guild Wars 2 is just around the horizon as well so you can play the first to get you ready for it.

So...Apple fervently keeps apps which duplicate their own apps' functionality out of the app store, but they don't check these apps for fraudulent activity? I don't get it...

Am I the only one who actually liked all of the non-gaming stuff? As someone who's slowly drifting away from gaming in general I can see myself using all of the other things like video chat and ESPN.

But then again, I can already do all of that on my computer...
