Having been in the Alpha, I tend to agree with you. I was not impressed with Origin. What I am impressed with is the way BF3 is shaping up in the vids, which leaves me thoroughly torn as they've said that even hard copies of the PC game are going to use Origin!! I've been a fan of DICE and they're games from near the beginning and have played nearly everyone which makes this an even harder choice!

Supposedly it is an acronym. Perhaps it's something akin to an urban legend, but I always heard it stood for
Fornication Under Consent of the King....
So yeah, you know, acronym. Another acronym from years past is
Ship High In Transit
For when they carried manure on ships, to keep the methane gas from building they labeled the containers as such so they wouldn't be put below decks and cause an explosion.

Looks fun. As it is though, I'm feeling a little slighted by EA/Dice because of their exclusion of PS3 players from the DrP promotion. I've been holding on to those stupid caps forever just to find out it was for nothing!

Still a fun game.
