I first started reading Joystiq about 2-3 years ago mostly because I enjoyed the 360fanboy podcast due to Knuckles.

On purpose I've kept myself in the dark about info concerning the Mythic Map pack so I could be surprised. I'm looking forward to it all!

It's like Halo 3 but it is not an FPS but a RTS.

The worst game I played this year was easily Mercenaries 2. It was like a PS2 game with updated graphics. The CO-OP was horrible with the limited Red Zone you had to stay in your partner. The game needed a lengthy delay. Fable 2 was also a disappointing game although I should have seen it coming this time.

My game of the year pick is much harder because there were a handful of very good games that were all neck and neck for me. I had big problems with almost all of them though, like Fallout's terrible endings. Games I considered were GTAIV, Fallout, NHL09(best sports game by far), Left 4 Dead, Gears 2, and Burnout Paradise. Gears would've took the trophy easily if the MP was solid, consistent, and balanced.

My game of the year would have to be a tie between GTAIV and Left4Dead.

Hopefully 2009 will be better.
