FMV light gun game Mad Dog McCree coming to 3DS
Mar 11th 2012 10:24PM (Joystiq)OK, so the comment system doesn't like the Less-than sign.
It should do OK at a less-than $5 price point. That' Hysteria Project' Mini did OK enough.

Mar 11th 2012 6:55PM (Joystiq)Not saying this from a 'fanboy' standpoint, but a simple hardware one. I don't even own Vita yet. I'm just guessing that they'll be using the 3DS touchscreen to simulate the lightgun. That means that they'll have to use ONLY the bottom screen. Sure, the top screen might be used for ammo and health, etc, but that seems like a bit of a waste.
If they tried to port the old holographic arcade 'Time Traveler' game to the 3DS, I'd be ALL over it. It would use the 3D screen for its purpose, and since the controls would be easily replaced by the D-Pad and a button, it'd be fantastic.
Vita only has one screen: the touchscreen. No wasted 'real estate' other than perhaps black bars to maintain aspect ratio... But that wouldn't be terribly unusual.
PS Move... well... You'd basically have your 'light gun' right there. This would also likely be perfectly fine on the Wii, though I doubt it'd be a viable disc-based release and the video compression to make it fit on WiiWare would be ridiculous (unless they've increased the file size along with the 3DS shop from 40MB to 2GB.) It COULD work on Kinect, but they'd really have to do some solid work on getting the precision down. The Gunstringer/Omega Boost method wouldn't work.
And yes. The game IS crap. But it's campy crap that obviously enough people like to warrant a 3DS release. I can see it doing pretty well on the PSN at a

Aside from that, the next logical progression would be a Snow level, then a Giant Level, then a Pipe Level before going to the Valley of Bowser.
