Those are actually fairly staggered releases -- the only real 'crunch' was the album + Pack 01, and if you take the album out they've got about as many tracks as quite a few bands. They also represent about 2.6% of the song library, heh. :3
I jumped on some of the more 'competitive' TF2 servers having not played a shooter since UT99. After a couple of weeks I could safely place in the middle of the pack with a variety of classes.
It's a growing pain of multiplayer shooters -- IW.net and matchmaking really aren't going to do much to 'fix' it.
This is a great pack, but no matter the contents of the ten pack I probably wouldn't be that excited -- Queen's catalogue is very, very good.
This is a good pack, but it's very "safe"-slash-radio-play-heavy. Given Harmonix's previous track record picking songs, I expected a few awesome lesser-known tracks, but I can't fault them for giving me a very party-friendly 10-pack (minus the obvious).
Also, not a single track from Queen, Queen II, A Night at the Opera, and News of the World (except WWRY/WATC coming in Lego RB), so maybe we'll see a full album of one or more. God, I hope so.
If the downloadable version does have better loading, can you let me know?
I've always been interested in the series but not interested in hunting down a copy somewhere now and buying another PS2 memory card, so a PSP option appeals to me.
I was looking at Mana Khemia, but then I noticed the PSP version reviews were in the toilet compared to the PS2 ones because of technical issues. :/
So it looks like Disgaea, Prinny, and Holy Invasion... are the ones for me. Blade Dancer and Dragoneer's Aria seem to have reviewed as fairly 'generic', but I might still get them if they're quite cheap. Not near my PSP to check, sadly.
I started boycotting Activision and refusing to purchase their products in 2007.
Few games came along to make me wish I'd jumped ship. Of all of them, Modern Warfare hurt the most. It was definitely a great game, and all my friends were playing it, but I had to stick to my guns.
I was going to make an exception to my policy after seeing the released media for Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward makes great games, and they deserve the accolades.
However, this article has guided me back to the path from which I nearly strayed.
