Is it just me or does this house look like a DLP television viewed from the back.

Burger King games as big as Gears of War

Let's not forget that these BK titles are Xbox AND Xbox 360 compatible. So it's quite fair to compare with an XBox 360 exclusive.

Lost Planet text is oh so bigger

How about letting the user choose the size of the text? I have a 26" HDTV and in many cases the text is still too small to read.

Mad World: Gears ad propels song to #1 on iTunes

That is one cool commercial for GOW.

Guitar Hero led me to buy quite a few CDs for bands that I had heard of but never invested any time in listening to. If I knew more about some of the licensed music (THPS comes to mind) I might buy some of that too.

Games on more than one disc: do you care?

Nov 24th 2006 10:20AM (Joystiq Xbox)
"I don't think anyone would really care to get up and change the disc, but that is not the point really, the point is that there is available technology that can make those four DVD's fit into one bluray/HDDVD disc so the reason you are getting up is simply because of the lack of vision on behalf of the manufacturer."

So ask yourself... Is getting up to change a disc every 6 hours worth $100 to you? Because that could be how much more the console would have cost if it went with HDDVD or Blu-Ray.

Considering that Microsoft is already in the black when selling a 360 console I would say that they had the right long term vision all along.

MS responds to 360 firmware hack

Mar 22nd 2006 12:45PM (Joystiq Xbox)
It's amazing to see just how technically savvy some poeple are to even be able to think up ways to hack products. That being said, I really do hope that piracy doesn't become rampant on the 360. The Dreamcast was hacked so quickly and easily that a lot of people stopped buying games at all. I loved my Dreamcast, and I am sure that because piracy being so wide-spread that was one big part of why it wasn't able to succeed.
