That $200 or so could be spent on short hand lessons too for that matter (heck would it even cost that much?). Short hand + pen & paper would be far, far faster and better than anything he'd be liable to buy.
What an absolutely absurd question to post Engadget.
@Axilon Whilst I agree with your comment for the most part, I do have to raise a quibble over "moving into the portable media player" comment. Creative has been in that market for a long time, a lot longer than Apple or almost any other major brand. Creative was the first (I believe) to market with a portable MP3 player, the original nearly CD walkman sized Creative Nomad jukebox. Contained a whopping 6Gb Hard disk, which I swore was enough to last me a lifetime...
Wonder what the actual changes are over the g/a/b2.1u series of pedals? They've got USB input (I have an a2.1u and use it), XLR output alongside audio jack.
The old pedals were plastic and horrible, but the g/a/b2.1u series of pedals are all metal and can take a serious pounding, plus have decent foot switches. It's not particularly clear from the article what, if anything, these new 'n' versions add, other than maybe some Steve Vai presets?!
