Apple cancels NBC shows on iTunes with near-immediate effect

Aug 31st 2007 2:59PM (Engadget)
gg Apple and NBC by being douchebags. Your petty squables over profit screwed the consumer yet again.

WTF is with these people who think Apple is right in these matters? Alex, I'll take corporate tools for $1000.

This just in: Roxio charging $99 for free software

Jan 8th 2007 8:37PM (TUAW.com)
umm... First off, your link shows that TivoToGo is free, but it only runs on Tivo series 2 (not Windows, nor a Mac). Complaining that Roxio is charging for it is kinda silly as it is akin to complaining that Apple charges for a usb port when Tivo provides one for free.

Secondly, to make use of TivoToGo on a computer, then Tivo Desktop is required. For Windows this is free, and for OSX this is free. If you want to transfer the Tivo media to a portable device, then you need Tivo Desktop plus for Windows ($25), or Roxio 8 for OSX ($99). If you need a breakdown of why Roxio 8 is better than Tivo Desktop plus, then it might be time to start a new blog.

iPod games "no substitute" for DS

Sep 14th 2006 4:29PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I think the blog is warrented. Obviously Apple is planning a big push into iPod games and Apple already starts content of slow, then works into a big show. Having EA on board for the iPod is a big push as well. It wouldn't surprise me to see analog stick adapters beign released for the iPod. Now if only Apple would make a device that hooks up to the TV where one could play iPod games. They could call it something like iPodTV or something similar....
