Man, I remember all the older kids giving me money to play this game while they watched. Don Bluth is still one of the most talented traditional 2D animators around. Seeing the amazing animation in Dragon's Lair pretty much put me on my career path. Jeez, I might have to break down and buy a PS3 just for that if they do end up dong a film transfer.
Motion JPG vs mpg-2 or *gasp* mpg-4. Motion JPG wins in my book, a lot less lossy ( say that 4 times fast ... just did, guess it's a lot easier than I thought... ANYWAYS ). Totally awesome for grabbing short high-quality slice of life stuff. If you want to capture an hour of footage to make a movie, purchase a camera made for that for crying out loud. You guys are arguing to buy shop vac to clean up the exxon valdiz. ( a very cool shop vac mind you, and you could likely eventually clean up the exxon valdiz if you had the patience, by why the *$&% would you.)
In response to the "Those 1080P sets are just uprezing to 1080P" guy. Are you saying those 1080P sets are pulling in a 1920x1080 signal from those RGB inputs the have and rezing it down to 1280x720, then back up to 1920x1080? Where are you coming up with this crap? Someone above graciously pointed out the Westinghouse LCD sets you can get with PIXEL resolution of 1920x1080. Thats about as TENEIGHTYPEE'Y as you can get.
Wow, number 11 up there is a retard. There are at least 3 1080P TV's I can think of off the top of my head available for the sub 3k range. Jut goes to show you need to take just about everything anyone says in this industy ( or their pundits ) with a truckload of salt. Ten years before 1080P Tv's are under 10 grand???? Where do they come up with this crap.
