Dec 31st 2008 12:01PM (Joystiq Nintendo)1) Will we see a working flashcart for it? I don't pirate, per-se, but I load all my carts' images on a flashcart so I don't have to use the real cart. I love that!

Dec 16th 2008 10:45AM (Joystiq Nintendo)The site seems borked right now, though -- I was able to enter one game, got coins, then got kicked and now can't log back in. I requested a password reset, go the email, but the password reset page isn't working, either. Sigh.

Dec 14th 2008 1:04PM (Joystiq Playstation)Also, making levels is decidedly work for many. It take a huge amount of work to make a well-crafted level. (I think the proof of that fact is evident in that MM hasn't produced a level pack of their own yet!) We spent about 2 hours futzing, and eventually just got frustrated and quit. It was clear it would take several days to a week to make a decently-long, bug-free level.
Other games suffer from this, where their attempts to be "open" instead make them bland (e.g. the Neverwinter Nights series, more recently Far Cry 2). It's extremely rare to design an open game like this that is successful (The Sims), and those games rely on professionally designed add-ons more than user-created stuff.
