It feel like Sam Kennedy is becoming the head PR of Microsoft. currently 1.7 in US and another 1.3+(estimate) for the rest of the world so it's 3 million+ mark. MS didnt even hit their 6 million projection yet. This dude went so far ahead and predict they will hit 10 million mark??? WOW, unbelievable and this is actually coming from a guy that works in Gaming Industry.
For what i think, WII might have a better chance to be the market leader more than XBOX 360 but if sony can announce a price drop after their supply problem, Sony might have chance to defend its throne. As for M$, Since they used the same strategy as dreamcast did, they are again heading the same way.
I think rumble feature is really being blown out of proportion. While it's cool to have it, I just think it's pretty good marketing gimmick spread by Immersion and follow up by MS simply because PS3 now dont have it. While I am playing HALO 2 online, I prefer to turn rumble off, simply because I dont want it to shake when i'm charging plasma pistol and miss my accuracy. I once bought an Logitech iFeel mouse which powered by logitech technology and will rumble everytime i fired chain gun or getting hit. Pretty cool at first but in the end, have it off again. If rumbles are so important, Why PC gamers wouldnot adopt the rumbles features? and Why gamers still enjoy games like oblivion, far cry, counter strike, WOW when there is no rumbles at all??? So to me, It's a gimmick and 360s will continue exploit it since it dont have motion sensing.
Yes, That's exactly what my local fry's store manager told me. During memorial weekend, I went to my local fry's electronic store, and saw 3 big stack of XBOX 360 and 1 big stack of PS2, so A few days later, i went back again. The 3 big stack of 360 still there but the PS2 is actually depleted to last few units. Out of curiosity, I went to ask the manager what happen there. He told me, the xbox 360 movement during memorial weekend is relatively slow. His theory was those who really want XBOX 360 got theirs already which I agreed. It's kinda Ironic that now 360s are finally available everywhere and the sales drop instead.
Those who still think that this rumor is real. Get a XBOX 360 and be happy with it. No point whining about PS3 since you're not going to be happy with it.
You guys should lighten up a bit. The only reason that Joystiq start covering or bashing "PS3" is they are on the spotlight right now. Yes if u remmember last year, Xbox 360 was in the spotlight and YES they do have lot of problems that were covered by joystiq. It just that when you are on the spot-light, most problems will be uncovered, So dont say it's bias..I like the dude saying use to be pro-PS3 oohh now pro-xbox360. Well xbox360 is not on the spot-light now and most of their problems has been covered. Their hype is over. You dont want Joystiq to cover old news, dont you.
If users chose MAC over PC, They are willing to sacrifice Games, since MAC does not have that many games to begin with. If they are willing to pay so much for machine that dont have alot of gaming support, it's pretty easy to conclude, they are not exactly that into games.
sux to be XBOX games collector. Basically if you sold your original XBOX to get 360 or your XBOX died, your XBOX games basically just turnt to paper weight.
