The middle-management masturbation lingo is killing me.

I'm guessing if we examine this closely, it roughly translates to "Me and my chums in the higher echelon of the company want to keep our six figure salaries, and everyone bellow us has to suffer for it. I'm already sorted and have no investment in the company's success, just to stay long enough to afford another holiday home in Tahiti."

...is that Hamburger Helper playing that sub-cosplay post-DA:O-Qunari?

It honestly wouldn't surprise me.

Original Killzone shoots up PSN on January 24

@Albierock

yeah, I never played it online but the bot multiplayer and the alt-fires on the weapons were great. The ISA rifle somehow isn't as satisfying without the grenade launcher (or the punchy rate of fire). Killzone overall was a pretty naff game, especially compared to 2 and 3.

Mass Effect 3 campaign details from Casey Hudson offer you a choice

"We have a rule in our franchise that there is no canon."

And you certainly lived up to this claim with Dragon Age 2 [shudders]

Spoilers: In Mass Effect 3 the Geth will be redesigned to look like the Putty Patrol in Halloween costumes, and the Reapers will have massive horns to be EDGY AND COOL.

Xbox Live 'FIFA hack' concerns continue to escalate, Microsoft states Windows Live ID not compromised

@maveric101

yeah, because it's my fault another website has terrible security and that I don't have unique passwords for my dozens and dozens of internet accounts that require an Enigma to decode (and by the way, I had a unique password for my XBL account).

And I don't know if you've noticed, but this has happened to A LOT of people. And they all have similar experiences, i.e. account hacked out of nowhere, points emptied, huge amount of points bought and disappearing out of nowhere with credit cards charged, MS being very unhelpful, no immediate refunds being given, and others have pointed out that MS appear to not want to let you remove your details from your account.

@(Unverified) I should probably also mention that the customer support was a nightmare, that they locked my account for 30 days to "investigate" (my arse would it take 30 days to investigate something this easy to track. It should take 30 seconds), and they refused to refund the the points on my account that were spent, and refused to pay me the £80+ taken from my bank account (the bank actually gave it back that very day. It should also probably be noted that they wouldn't allow me to keep the £80 they returned to me if it turned out to be my own fault, but I'm yet to be asked for it back, despite MS blaming it on a "phishing scam".

Xbox Live 'FIFA hack' concerns continue to escalate, Microsoft states Windows Live ID not compromised

This happened to me in October. My Xbox had been boxed up for almost a year and the little time that I did use it I was never using Xbox Live as I didn't buy a subscription. Neither did I ever sign into Xbox live, receive any phishing emails, or give away my details in any way. It was a hack, plain and simple, and there are obviously people trying to cover it up.
