PS3 F.E.A.R. is confirmed; release expected in November [update 1]

No CryHavoc, what I am saying is that there are about 3 maybe 4 great pc games that come out every year, and every year pc gamers usually have to buy a new graphics card to take full advantage of it. In regards to the Oblivion port from pc to xbox 360, the ign.com comparison says that the pc advantage was VERY marginal, and it could have just been because it wasn't a perfect port meaning that when oblivion came out developers were just getting their hands on the 360 and they might have just not known how to code 100% effectively at the time. In any case, I do prefer console to pc gaminng, particularly with the ps3. I know that obiviously pc graphics cards will out perform the ps3 and xbox 360, but the ps3, from what i've seen, will have awesome looking games that will get better every year, and that's fine with me.

Ok, let's get some things straight here. Firstly, tons of people are posting that fear came out a year ago and is not next-gen and is infact "old." I'm a very picky gamer, but geeze, remember that fear is the most grahpically intense game out some far period even if it did come out a year ago, and it look beautiful. Their are tons of people who haven't played even if they do have a pc because you have to have a $500 plus graphics card to run the game with everything turned on. The game is awesome, the graphics, physics, story, etc. are all top notch and everyone who cares at all about fps games should be getty with excitement over this announcement, on top on the fact that you can use a key board and mouse with the ps3 version. As far as the ps3s power I can say this, it's at least on par with the xbox 360 and, the ps3 must not be that hard to program for because fear is going to be a launch title which looks better than any xbox 360 game out yet. And since all of fears game settings will be turned to the max along with added-on graphically enhancements that aren't on the pc version I would must rather get a ps3 with all of its bells and whistles for 600 bucks rather than a stand alone 600 dollar pc graphics card. And everyone is talking about the fact the consoles get out dated quickly and pcs over power them in no time. Here's the difference, new pc games are always trying to push the latest graphics cards to the max, so every half a year consumers have to buy a new graphics card in order to play the latest game, while programs that are developing for consoles are always looking for more efficent ways to get more power out of the system, and at the end of the consoles life cycles the games look twice as good as they did a year after the console first comes out. So, it's not that pcs games are more powerful, it's that game developers and graphics card providers take advantage of you and your suckers(sorry).

Red Steel: first Revolution screens revealed [Update 5]

This is a new and interesting innovation, but I think the "child targeted" system will come under major political hot water!! You all know how much different states are trying to ban violent videogames because they put people in the mind set to kill people, well what do you think they're gonna say now that little Timmy can now put his controller in a gun position to shoot people??? When we just used a regular two hand game controller and pressed a button to shoot things, I wasn't all that worried about violent videogames having an effect on people, but now I think that any violent shooter on the revolution could really and truely affect young impresitional children.
