PES/ISS is possibly the most anticipated yearly released game in Europe, despite the odd lapse it is generally the best football game by a country mile.

Its a huge pity that the DS version was a pile of wank, and makes me wonder how they will ruin the Wii version.

Either way, I can't wait for it to come out, unless of course EA do the right thing and make FIFA 08 outstanding for the Wii.

XBLA/M are the 2 reasons that I even consider an x360 - if the 2 other systems can produce an online system as good as, near to or better than the MS model then i will be parting with my cash.

1 year should give me ample time to see how it pans out.

Is there anyone with all 3, or even 2 of these systems that can give some sort of comparison, or explain some of the foibles of a particular online model?

I worked for them & had a great time.
Shuuure, the franchises are tired (& often not the best example of the genre), the acquisitions are harmful (at times) & the innovation isn't there. But I enjoyed watching movies every month & working in the darkened farm known as QA in Vancouver.
I'd go back in a second if I thought I had career prospects there (and a Visa that didn't run out).

Microsoft have left open an option (whether intentional or not) for people to play games that they have bought on multiple machines without paying twice.

Of course Ubisoft are going to come out and say 'we want to beat EA'.

That's what shareholders demand.

If they'd said 'we want to stay in 4th position in the gaming industry' they'd get laughed at.

Ubisoft haven't done anything lately for them to be warranted anything above EA. The games companies are talking from a financial & market-share point of view, not a game quality point of view.
