Joyswag: Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (and a real Diabolical Box) [update]

Sep 6th 2009 5:42AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
If I had a box of diabolical nature, I would store my secret recipe for the perfect platter of pancakes. Jamie Oliver has nothing on this.

First 4 Figures to sell Mario-themed Chess

Why isn't Birdo the queen :(

DS Daily: Recommend some homebrew apps

Jan 18th 2009 1:20PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
- I always keep ColorsDS on hand. If I forget to bring a sketchbook, it's the next closest thing to scribble in.
- Also DSReader for e-books. Alternately I'll use DSOrganise (nize?) for that as well.
- Gamewise, Powder and Still Alive.
- I would recommend Nitrotracker for those who want to create music, although you should do a little research on how to compose it beforehand.
- nesDS.

Iwata's Quest: help sell Dragon Quest IX

Dec 14th 2008 8:04PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
It's great that Nintendo is planning on pushing this game as far as it can, but why couldn't they have done this for their own series, EarthBound/Mother?

Still, I'm not complaining about localized DQ games.

The first Tomb Raider for the PS1 is my favourite Eidos game.
Which, of course would be succeeded by Soul Bubbles *hint* *hint*

Not-So-Iron Fanboy: Cooking Guide Cook-Off

Jul 22nd 2008 10:09PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Oh my. The Chris!bonet made me laugh so hard I was clutching my stomach. I guess I shouldn't have seen Alisha's first >_<
At least with kitchen mistakes you can just throw it out and start from scratch. Like a roguelike.

I wonder if the NA version of Cooking Guide still includes metric for those of us Canadians?

Future R4 firmware to sabotage clones, brick DSes?

Jul 4th 2008 12:17PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
What saying? There isn't any 'honour,' which was what I was joking about. Of course R4 only makes the carts and doesn't directly involve piracy.

Tiny screens from Tales of Hearts get our blood pumping

Jul 3rd 2008 11:01PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
That's only half the picture though. Hit the source link and you get not one, but TWO tiny screens of Hearts.

At least Namco seems to support localizing the console games these days :(

Future R4 firmware to sabotage clones, brick DSes?

Jul 3rd 2008 8:10PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Whatever happened to honour among thieves D:

I kid, however the obvious thing to do is NOT to install any new firmware from now on. Besides, there are better alternatives to the R4/M3simply
