Rumor: Persona coming to PSP

Jan 15th 2009 9:16PM (Joystiq Playstation)
First one is rather bad. It has this god awful old styled dungeon crawler exploration first person crap with infinite corridors. The plot is a bit hard to follow too. All of the other ones are great.

Prinny: Is it okay to show off the first level of gameplay?

Too bad the game is rather shallow and focused more on insane speedrun part of the game play. You don't get stronger as you play, levels are frustrating on purpose and some bosses might make your finger hurt and give nothing in return. There is no bonus content by the way. You can collect all the letters in between the levels but that only unlocks secret dialogs before the boss battles. It might have been a great game if it was for a wider audience but it's not. You can make some nice speedrun videos though.

PSP Fanboy review: N+

Aug 28th 2008 3:35PM (Joystiq Playstation)
No mention of downgraded animation? Unnecessary and ugly "+" graphics? Incorrectly working physics that will kill you if you land on a flat surface but will let you live if you are trying land on a slightly angled one while running? Ragdolls work weird too, sometimes you disappear for a millisecond when you die and a ragdoll of your body spawns in your place. It's really weird to see flaws like that in a psp game. I'm sure that the hardware could have handled the game's physics and animations. Also if you turn on the blood it will just show a single line with 3 frames of animation falling over your body. Kind of like that "|/_".

The House of the Dead: Overkill -- where the dead walk, and bullets talk

Everything is forgiven. This is even more awesome than the original version of THOD 3(the comic book like one).

Sega has a surprise for Leipzig

It's that sonic knight game. I'm sure. JSR would be too good to be true. Also with the last one it seemed that they wanted to get the best possible visuals(up to the point that even on Xbox there were some slowdowns). I want a new JSR game but I just don't thinks such good things happen anymore.

Virtually Overlooked: All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.

I'm wondering how could anyone even imagine that Nintendo (or any other company with a similar service) would release a game that was given away for free as a promotion for a radio station back in the 80s?

Europe accounts for less than a quarter of Live, language barriers to blame

Hey! I'm in Russia but I don't use live since I find can't any place where I can buy gold and points cards. Although I found a site where you can buy them but I'm waiting for Bionic Commando and Castle Crashers. Also my xbox is modded so this excludes playing normal games live.

IGN pretty much confirms Kid Icarus

Actually in the first interview about revolution(wii's first name) they said that old franchises like Kid Ikarus and some other one will be revived.

Eternity's Child, and how not to show off your game

Oh and by the way: jumping without bending your knees never looks good in a platforming game.

Eternity's Child, and how not to show off your game

Mar 26th 2008 1:33PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Wow. That was some of the worst jumping mechanic ever. It really looks like a flash game(even has the usual slowdown). I never really liked the style in the first place and without it there is no reason to buy the game anyway. also the trailer in the comments is from the early 360 version and it has the same problems. It's like they didn't even tried to make the game play better.
