Check your local Best Buy, they could be selling Super Mario Galaxy right now

Nov 7th 2007 8:05PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
"...Know, also, that some have claimed to be managers at other retail locations Best Buy itself, stating that it isn't normal to receive product a week before release. "

I'm not sure I completely buy that statement. I work at a retail store, and they always receive new releases a week or so before they go on sale. At least that's how it is for movies.

Got to make sure you have them in stock for release day.

I also know that there are "Severe penalties for street date violations", says so right on the package for the display.

I'm not sure if that means fines or that they may not sell to that store again.

Inspect the Zapper even more closely

I'm looking at the second to last picture. http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20071105/gglw10.htm

Please, do not tell me that he has the wrist strap on with that thing. Caring about the safety of our televisions is one thing. You can go too far with it, though.

Mario Kart Wii just got a bit less kartish

Oct 10th 2007 11:55PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Well, Kart is in the name but, so what? As long as karts are still the main focus of the game, I'll buy it. The delay is disappointing, but from the looks of the game so far, it seems well worth it.

Nyko's wireless sensor bar bargain

Oct 5th 2007 11:20AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I don't get it. Why would you need a wireless Sensor Bar? It's not like you need to move your Wii often, if ever. Besides it's connected to Wii buy just one small wire, which you can tape to something or twist tie it to keep it neat.

It's also smaller than this particular one. It's practically hidden on my tv. Oh, and it doesn't need any batteries. No dead Sensor bar in the middle of (whatever).

That's my side of the story.

VC Monday Madness: Lost Levels and Sin & Punishment

I'm also looking forward to downloading Lost Levels. I played it on SMAS for SNES, but of course, Nintendo 'Upgraded' the graphics for that version.

Wii Warm Up: Physical space

Sep 24th 2007 12:39PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Admin: COMMENT ABOVE IS SPAM!

Anywho, right now I have all 10 games and 2 Wiimotes/nunchucks, classic controller and GCN controller in a small basket near my Wii.

Soon, I may buy a game case like this (http://images.bestbuy.com/BestBuy_US/images/products/8012/8012713_sa.jpg) and just put the empty boxes away for safe keeping.

Wii Warm Up: Zapper, board, or wheel?

Sep 21st 2007 10:06AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Out of the three, I'm most interested in the balance board. It will be interesting to see what games will be made specifically for it. Put the balance board together with either the Zapper or the wheel- now that could be interesting.

I can picture using the Zapper while standing on the balance board, trying to be stealthy, (James Bond like), by trying to stay as still as possible.

Wii Warm Up: Have you regretted the lack of DVD playback?

Sep 20th 2007 11:11AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I don't regret it at all. I bought Wii to play games. But, it would be nice if it could play dvd's. That way I don't have to switch from Wii to Xbox just to watch a movie. Plus it's one less box connected to the tv, which is always very nice.

Nintendo Power gets a new publisher

Sep 18th 2007 2:21PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I only read one other Future US (http://www.futureus-inc.com/) mag, Maximum PC, and I love it. So, I doubt this would hurt NPower, maybe it will be even better. I also bet this is the start of demo discs coming with the magazine.

Wii Warm Up: Supply and demand

Sep 17th 2007 2:09PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I was just at a Best Buy south of Boston, and I saw four Wii's in stock. They were just there on the shelve, not locked up. I wonder why. I've been able to find games and accessories easily for about 6 months or so.
