Rumorong: Rein says Gears of War on PS3 is 'bull****'

Jun 4th 2007 6:53PM (Joystiq)

The entire Playstation 1, 2 and 3 library are not good games. There I said it.

OPM editor doesn't even want a PS3 ... yet

"...Maybe we aren't thinking about that yet, but Phil Harrison, the man behind Sony's worldwide studios, definately is. He said that "I'd be amazed if the PlayStation 4 has a physical disc drive," which really makes this console war useless. Who cares about HD-DVD or Blu-ray if in 5 or 10 years (depending on how long the PS3 actually lasts as an upgradeable system), we drop media storage discs entirely?"

LOL

Ad critic: Sony's racially charged PSP ad [update 1]

Jul 4th 2006 6:40PM (Joystiq)

Ok, I think that Sony has no cue about what Nintendo was talking about when they mentioned 'Distruptive' advertising. Not only is Sony got it all wrong, but they are also just alienating even more customers with this total disregard for culture. You would think that some sub-division of the KKK was responsible for this advertising. Sure, one of the pictures depicts the black woman being 'on top' or 'control' in one of the pictures, but I think it still inspires 'hate' on both sides of the racial coin.

Now let us all prepare for the onslaught of 'it's not racial or offensive' by the Sony Jabronis and maybe some 'color' commentary by the M$ Fanboys.

PDZ Map Pack One perfectly available

Jun 8th 2006 11:56AM (Joystiq Xbox)

As far as something better coming along, there's COD2. I have like 8 other 360 games (GRAW, PGR3, etc) and it seems like the only game I can get a room, lobby or multi-player action is with COD2. It's seems like despite all the games, that COD2 is all that anybody plays anymore.

My 2 cents.

And now a word from Peter Moore

Jun 1st 2006 11:26PM (Joystiq Xbox)

"...If the consumer says this is exciting, we'll continue to invest and invest. But we're not going to try and force it on people. If it doesn't work... we're not going to continue to churn out games en masse, or make everything cross-platform. We'll be selective, see what the gamer says."

I love this guy already! I'm really loving the 360 and what it has brought to me so far. I was going to get a PS3, but Sony is trying to forcefeed me a bunch of crap I don't want and take the entire contents of my wallet on top of that. No thanks Sony, MS and maybe Nintendo have my wallet's attention now.

Microsoft CEO justifies Xbox 360 spending

May 2nd 2006 10:19PM (Joystiq)

MSFreeLivingRoom,

And Sony is any better? If what you say is how you really feel, then you should be a Wii fan. I myself will own at least the 360 and Wii. Sony to me is just a Japanese clone of Microsoft. They're business practices are basically the same. So saying you hate MS and its business practices and to prefer Sony is pretty much a redundant philosophy. If you're a true purist, then you would only have a Wii in your living room. (and yes, I kept a straight face the whole time typing it).

Microsoft CEO justifies Xbox 360 spending

May 2nd 2006 10:08PM (Joystiq)

I love my 360, it hasn't failed me yet (since launch). The more I look 'around' though, the more I begin to wonder just how well MS will really do. Where I live, there's 360's collecting dust on the shelf and at the local costco, they still have a whole pallet of premium bundles. I'm hoping that it's only because everyone that wanted one at launch or ever wanted one, got one already from somewhere else (internet).

Like I said, I love my 360, but damn MS, I sure hope the 360 catches on alot faster than it has around here.

Free expression isn't always a good thing

May 2nd 2006 12:03PM (Joystiq)

There's freedom of expression and there's common decency. I think there needs to be a balance. That's what's wrong with the world now a days. No common sense, no common decency, no respect for others. Way to go parents and adults!

There should alway be freedom of speech, but there should be some standards in place across the board so that no particular person is disrespected in anyway. This display of freedom of speech is evidence of that.
