PSA: Resident Evil 5 'Versus Mode' DLC out now

Apr 7th 2009 4:15PM (Joystiq)
This could pretty easily be new content at 2 megs. As someone else previously mentioned, it only uses pre existing levels and character models, so the DLC only really includes new code, which is very small.

That IGN article doesn't confirm it's on the disc at all, by the way.

Max Payne 3 coming to Xbox 360, PS3, PC this winter

Isn't that a summary of Max Payne 2...?

Prince of Persia 'Epilogue' DLC not coming to PC

Steam is DRM. Also, Steam games turn up on torrent sites all the time.

I don't know what you're talking about, and apparently neither do you.

Zero Punctuation makes war, not love with Haze

I for one thing Yahtzee still rocks. You know why? Because he isn't afraid to tell everyone just how shit games really are. I get so sick and tired of gaming "journalists" just handing out 9s and 10s to any game in a major established franchise, like the company in question will shower them with free consoles for the service.

Most games are crap, and Yahtzee aint afraid to say so. In this, he's pretty much unique.

Also he's funny. That helps.

Vid-splosion of Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay

Most games use dual layer DVDs now anyway, which are 8.5gigs, not 4.7. That makes a 50gig game, about 6 disks. There'd be no disk swapping in game because, well... PC games install as standard.

In fact, back in the CD era, there were a few games released with that number of disks. So it's not impossible.

THQ questions value of 'girly games'

Jun 9th 2008 9:15PM (Joystiq)
It's true, most games aimed at girls really are incredibly patronising. Mostly because they're aimed at *girls*, i.e, twelve year olds. Earlier today i saw two girl-oriented DS games, one called Imagine: Babies and the other, Imagine: Happy Cooking. What the hell? Because obviously, all girls want to do is have babies and cook?

A great example of a game that appeals to women without being completely patronizing stereotypical garbage is The Sims. Sure, it wasn't deliberately designed to appeal to the fairer sex, but that's basically what ended up happening.

Crytek teases 'Crysis Warhead'

Jun 4th 2008 8:05PM (Joystiq)
That's Psycho, the token british guy from the game, aint it? My guess is, whatever *this* is, you play the same story from his perspective.

Probably an expansion, because Crytek openly admitted they were gonna stop making patches for the PC version due to working on something else, and how pissed off would their fans be if that "something else" was a console version?

New Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer implies suicide, again

LaughingMan put it as clearly as i ever could, and with a lot less profanities than I was going to use. "Seeing a shrink" is not some kind of universal cure for everyone with depression, it quite often doesn't work. Taking meds has the same problem, plus the added risk of side effects.

I know a lot of you people think you've been "depressed", but you've been depressed in the emotional sense. You were a bit down. You did not have a mental illness that makes every single day and every single task within that day a continuous struggle, you have not had to deal with crippling fatigue, headaches, insomnia, changes in appetite, loss of immune system function, and any other of the many symptoms of actual clincal depression.

Until you have, Binando, refrain from making such ill-informed posts which could actually make people suffering from a real illness even worse.
