@Xocolatl

i don't think you know what you're talking about.

chain combos off normals exist on Marvel games.

If you're trying to say that this game is a button smasher then go do it somewhere else.

Apple sells 1,000,000 iPads in revolution's first month

May 4th 2010 6:02PM (Engadget)
@abeworld

"...the interaction is what matters and its all different here??!! And again you ignore the UI for apps and choose to answer what you will."

The interaction is nothing. You're still clicking on icons man. The apple-drones ignorance is making you delusional.

"...Nope sorry. Your laptop doesnt. It doesnt give you accelerometer games or an ibook reader. People have used readers on laptops and it hasnt worked - as evidenced by the rise of e-readers. And lets not forget the little teensy-weensy thing about being able to read whole travelling...... have you ever done some serious reading on a laptop or even a netbook? Your laptop may be able to do it but the whole setup is so bad, that no one does....so for all practical purposes... NO the laptop doesnt solve that problem. Hence the rise of e-readers.."

Why would i want accelerometer-based games when i can play good PC games on my laptop plus all the flash-based games ever made.

I have an ebook reader on my laptop. It works just fine. you click and the page turns, easy as that. no need to buy a separate device and waste 500 dollars.

"...You can do some photoshop on iPhone too! and with the number of apps I am sure Adobe iPAD app like the iphone app, is not far behind..."

where is it genius? If you really think that your big iTouch can handle something like photoshop then the apple-drone sickness is affecting your mind.

"...And for serious photoshopping do you ever use a netbook? Use the comp at work, dude! Same for video-editing..."

Why because you say so? My laptop can do all that. There's no need to any other computer. I'm pretty sure most ipad users will end up buying a laptop when they find out that the little overpriced device is an big iphone that can't make phone calls.

"...As for flash enabled browsing - have you been following the news?? already a lot of players are in the market with HTML 5 websites. Plus all major websites' videos work. Plus microsoft and google are on board saying HTML 5 is the new format of the future..."

That apple-drone sickness is really affecting you, huh? It's the format of the future, not of now. Right now almost everything online video and gaming is flash based. When the future arrives and HTML5 is dominant, you would've bought the 2 generations of ipads and i would simple do an update on my laptop.

"...If you have spare money (as is the case for all Apple's products - Seriously was the price a surprise for you??)..."

"...Yes it is missing quite a few things but nevertheless it still does a lot and has a lot of potential to grow very fast. So, if you have some spare money..."

These last two were my favorite lines. They say...

"If you have money to waste, waste it on toys!"

"Just spend money and hope for the best!"

Apple-drones sure are funny...

Apple sells 1,000,000 iPads in revolution's first month

@abeworld

"...Ease of use and aesthetics are probably the only things that people mention when they pick up the iPad. Even if it is subjective, I think most people will agree to its dominance in both areas! Sheesh!..."

The dominance you talk about is an illusion. It's the same easy to use icon based UI used since the first personal computers. If you wanna talk with the big boys you better know your shet.

"...Thats just an opinion, probably faulty one at that. IPhone has provided serious competition to handheld small screen gaming systems like PSP..."

Aren't you forgetting something? Your "game console" is nothing compared to the DS or even the PSP. When people want good games they know what to get. You're a clear example of apple-drone ignorance.

"...Plus its very clear here that you have never used iBooks. Please use it and then we can talk about how things are..."

what? i'm supposed to write a review for some retrd like you?

"...So, when it comes to games you compare it with consoles, but books to kindle ....... and you still wont appreciate, EVEN A BIT, that iPad does BOTH pretty well if not better??"

My laptop does all that for a lower price. Gaming, Photoshop, video-editing, ebooks, music, and flash-enable browsing. Have fun with your gimped and overpriced device. The rest of the world and Jobs is laughing at all of you for being logo-based consumers.

Another one bites the dust lol

Apple sells 1,000,000 iPads in revolution's first month

@abeworld

Ease-of-use and UI aesthetics are subjective. Accelerometers and the compass are just gimmicks that don't enhance games beyond adding another input.

iBooks? Sony's E-reader and the kindle have done it better.

Games? have fun with on-screen controls blocking most of the action. OH you mean good games, right? they're all on consoles or pc's.

"...Waaaaaay to go judgemental!..."

What you mad? Hit the nail right on the head, huh? lol

@SExpress

It seems that you cannot ignore me. interesting...

BTW i'm not gay, so leave me alone.

@magallanes

When rumors came out about the new apple device i thought that the device would be something like a high-end netbook. I may not like most apple products but i liked that idea and i was hoping that other companies would do the same and release high-end netbooks.

Apple sells 1,000,000 iPads in revolution's first month

May 3rd 2010 6:29PM (Engadget)
@abeworld

"...There are a number of things netbook cant do either (include here all the multi-touch features, accelerometer, compass features and ease of use and the oft-undersated beautiful interface).

Multi-touch is the only useful thing that most netbooks can't do. The rest is either pointless or subjective. There is nothing beautiful about an UI interfaced based on icons, nor is it innovative.

"..And one thing I don't see anybody mention - the APPS!! just like the iPhone, I believe the app market will explode (if it hasnt already!)..."

This is my favorite line. This line says only one thing.

"I may not know much about this "APPS" business, but my rather intelligent opinion on that matter is that it will EXPLODE! My conclusions come from user experience not from the fact that the very site i posted this on has mentioned that at least once per day."

I like how the mactards praise the ipad when they compare it to their old cheap laptop.

"I Prefer to use my ipad because it's faster and more convenient than my laptop"

Or how about the mactard that brings it out at bars! lol

"...It's in my bag and when I'm settled in at home, at a bar with wi-fi..."

It just goes to show that Apple sells overpriced, underpowered, and gimped devices to the idiots that are too stupid or lazy to compare its features to other better products.

Everyone knows that if you buy something overpriced, it's because of only one thing...

The Apple Logo.

PlayStation 3's 3D implementation explained, may require upscaling and reduction in detail to work

Apr 23rd 2010 2:53PM (Engadget)
@Brother Unit No 4

Wow complaining about bullets and enemies jumping out of the screen... go back to your solitaire and mah-jong games.

The rest of us are tired of highly detailed, yet flat enemies, weapons, and surroundings.

Everything is a gimmick. The day an amazing game with 3D comes out, all of you are gonna be praising it for it's use of 3D.

The same crap happened with avatar and it's gonna happen in gaming.
