It's funny; the first time I saw Cars, I was a bit disappointed too. But after watching it literally 2,000 times with my son, I actually have really grown to like it. It's one of my favorite Pixar movies now. There's a certain -- tenderness? longing for the good-old-days of cruising? -- that really appeals to me.
This one looks totally different. Perhaps they're taking it in a new direction to appeal to more viewers. I'm sure I'll still like it.
