Hands-on: HipstaCase for iPhone

May 3rd 2011 7:55AM (TUAW.com)
wouldn't that kind of defeat the object of building a case to echo the style of cameras that Hipstamatic is based on?

I think it does just fine for the market it is aimed at.

I have to agree with Fred 100%.

@Unixsystemengineer: I find it much more satisfying to twist around the front of old ladies and drop banana skins, broken glass and roller skates in front of them so I can watch them desperately steer around them in slow motion.

It's not self importance with the bikers, it's just that if I have to wait so should they. Oh, wait... yes you're right it IS self importance.

@bill.gallardo: The fact you have a collection means you are EXACTLY the type of motorcyclist that I LOVE to slow down and who ruins it for your saintly brethren on the roads. It's like Batman and the Joker, I made you because you made me.

Anyway I wholeheartedly agree with Fred below. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to find a row of parked Motorbikes and push them all over like dominos. Expensive homoerotic dominos.

@Zbadguy: Pollution filters are available for motorcyclists the same as they are for cyclists. On a hot day it may not be advisable to travel at peak times for your own safety.

@Signal2noise: Now that isn't entirely true is it?

As a motorist, there is no guidance as to how far away from the centre line or pavement (sidewalk) my vehicle has to be. Certainly no law that I must leave a specific gap in between my vehicle and the centre line. If I choose to drive closer to the white line that is up to me. I'm certainly going to favour cyclists over motorcyclists. It is legal to filter but that I a privilege not a right of way.

Now there certainly IS a very fine line between filtering and undertaking.
What excuse do you give when the traffic is flowing at a steady rate yet the motorcyclists continue to lane split/filter?

@01NB: The classic response. If you want to get done for criminal damage rather than wait for the traffic to flow be my guest.

The best thing is, if I was slightly too far over to the white line for you to filter, you would never have a clue that I was doing it on purpose.
One day you might smash or kick the car of some terrified school mum who just happened to be a little far out or who was avoiding a pothole.
I suggest that:

a) you all lighten up as I doubt any of you will die because you can't race through stationary traffic and
b) you go play this excellent iOS game and watch out for virtual Optimus Rhymes in the game out to sabotage your high score with selfish line hugging

Sometimes when I'm stopped in traffic I like to hug the white line to stop bikers whisking through the gaps.

Yes. I'm a douchebag.

I suppose you are right. Some random security person is much more likely to keep it than the police. In the uk if something is handed to the police and not claimed for 6 months they let you keep it.

Knives, drugs, shotguns and children excluded of course.
