DS Daily: Too many devices

Jun 9th 2008 11:55AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
PSP already fills those shoes for me. I mean, it's a multimedia device, and I really doubt the iPhone will do better than the PSP at gaming, so it's not going to reach the DS. I think it's just another obsessed Mac-Guy whose convinced all Mac stuff will win the world over, well, they've been saying that for years, doesn't mean it's gonna happen.

PSP needs more third party titles

A really good First Person Shooter. I mean, Medal Of Honor 1 and 2 are great, they're defiantly the best FPS games on the PSP. But I'd like a finely tuned one, one that gave more. Syphon Filter is amazing, but it's third person, we really need another good FPS.

I buy my stuff at Gamestop, why not save a few bucks when it's basically new?

Emulating the gaming world on DS

May 22nd 2008 12:07PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
"You forgot to menton that JenesisDS has SOUND! Picodrive isn't really worth mentioning." No kidding JenesisDS is way better now. And SNEmulDS kicks the pants off any of the other SNES emulators. I know it's better than SNESDS. Oh, and you guys forgot the TI calculator emulators. Like Wabbit, and DS85.

Watch Nintendo steal Sony's pie

My question is... Where's Microsoft. I expect that this is Japaneses sales, but even with poor sales in that area, they did sell some. I just don't get how Microsoft got booted off the chart, when I heard that sales of the 360 are increasing there. Ace Combat is big seller for the 360 currently from what I've read, so I wouldn't dismiss Microsoft yet. But what do I know?

DS Fanboy presents: Game Night 1/10/08 aftermath

Jan 11th 2008 3:10PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I dislike when you don't include a game, just because it won the previous week. I'm a Mario Kart fan, I'll always vote for that until I get sick of it. So when you don't put it on the poll because of it's success the week before, I don't agree with the winner, therefore I don't play. Let the people vote. It doesn't matter if it wins every week, if the masses want it, give it to them. And like you said, "just because it was voted doesn't mean you have to play it." I assume that means you also?

Star Tribune: DS is easy to pick over the PSP

Nov 21st 2007 3:05PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Since this article is about flamming the PSP, ("How we love your misinformed nature and incredible ability to point out the obvious." "We will agree that choosing between the DS and PSP is a lot easier than choosing between the current generation of consoles," "Why do you think it's better than the PSP (we have a feeling you're going to say "the games")? ")
I've got stuff to say about the DS. Which by all means seems fair judging how the writer ignorantly, unpretentiously, and scornfully mocked the PSP.

I have a DS and I try really hard to not scratch the touch screen but games like Zelda, make that impossible. The hinges are a problem, my friend's DS broke that way. It hurts your hands to play games like 007, because of the crappy control scheme. The DS lite, (which is what I have) is just a magnet for fingerprints, you can't keep it clean! And for online games, you have to be really close to the hotspot to play the game, as opposed to some games on PSP. (Ex. Medal of Honor Heroes 1 - You can run online at 50% with no lag!) And tons of games are ported onto the DS too, not just the PSP. (Ex. Super Mario 64 DS, 007 Rogue Agent, etc.) And anyone who says the PSP doesn't have great games obviously is an ignorant "Place your own expletive here." You obviously haven't invested the time in finding great games, or haven't even touched a PSP. (Am i getting warmer, to describing Ignorant DS fans?) Well, I'm sick of spelling it out to you DS fans, and I'm tired of running with a vain cause. DS fans will always be ignorant.

Star Tribune: DS is easy to pick over the PSP

Nov 21st 2007 1:38PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Great PSP Games:
Medal Of Honor Heroes 1 And 2
Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow
Burnout Legends And Dominator
Madden (Every Version)
Ratchet And Clank Size Matters
Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Lemmings
Final Fantasy 1 Anniversary Edition
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories And Vice City

And those are to mention a few...
I have a DS and a PSP, PSP games are better.
I homebrew with my DS mostly, but haven't picked it up
in months. I own only 2 DS games, Mario Kart and
New Super Mario Bros. I only like one other DS game
that I don't own, and that's advanced wars. I've tried other
games like Zelda and Metroid, but they're no fun.

DS Daily: What games should we write about more?

Nov 7th 2007 12:29PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
You should write more stuff about Homebrew. Apps and Games.
