Rock Band Weekly: Iron Maiden, The Hives, Stone Temple Pilots

Use the high frets for the 'big rock ending'. You can completely light the board up and rape your score through the roof compared to anything you can do with the GH guitar.

Holy shit, DUMB. Why you waste my time with crap videos Joystiq?

JK, that's awesome as hell. I'm completely envious of his TV alone, none less the fact that it's almost a ****ing portal to a 3D world.

Portal's plush companion cube puts a price on friendship

$30?! And people would buy this instead of the headcrab hats, why?

Activison: Actually, Harmonix to blame for PS3 guitar issues

Dec 14th 2007 10:03AM (Joystiq)
Activision has been a group of whiny dickholes ever since Rock Band was announced. I remember last year when they weren't allowing Rock Band discussion on the GH3 forums while Harmonix was allowing GH3 discussion on Rock Band's. I haven't seen a single 'nice' thing done by Activision with this whole deal, whereas Harmonix has been incredibly open and non hostile/whiny with the whole thing.

Activision better stop fuckin' around if they want me to buy another GH game, because after all the improvements Rock Band has made to the series I just don't see a point in going back.

DIY: Weighted Companion Cube paperweight

Dec 2nd 2007 10:44AM (Joystiq)
Seriously, enough of the companion cube shit. It was funny at first when everyone was talking about it and I hadn't played Portal yet, but inside the perameters of the game it turned out to be about as funny as a kick to the shins. Without Glados this thing is nothing.

Double Dribble, Vegas Stakes, Ecco Jr. come to Virtual Console

So since you don't have a problem right now I can't complain about it right now? I'm waaaay past the 'oh this game isn't good, I don't care if it's not on my system' phase that you're in. All the games on my system right now I've played the hell out of as a kid and I just flat out don't want to get rid of them, I love them all too much. I'm down to low double digits in terms of memory. I've been dying to play Sin and Punishment but I just can't bring myself around to deleting all of my games to make space for it.

Are you serious? Whoever decided that 512mb is good enough to restrict you to for a download service was probably mentored by Andy Kaufman. The fact that you're actually defending it means that Nintendo is just going to feel less like getting off their lazy asses and doing something about it. Why should they bother putting out work into the system when it's flying off the shelves at an incomprehensible rate -_-

I say it almost every week and I'll say it again today.... 'Yet MORE games I'd love to buy if Nintendo got their head out of their asses and let us use SD loading without channel restrictions!'
