Joyswag: Dreamcast Collection, soundtrack vinyl and 'Still Thinking' hoodie

Mar 21st 2011 8:29PM (Joystiq)
There's no way I can't answer both of those choices, as my favorite games are generally Sega creations.

Hands down my favorite Sega game ever (actually, of all time) is Phantasy Star IV. I discovered this gem through Sega Channel along with Shining Force 2, and playing these through is totally a highlight of my childhood. I still play PS4 once a year and still enjoy it every single time. The blend of sci-fi and fantasy with awesome cutscenes and amazing music gets me every time.

As for my Dreamcast, it proudly sits beside my ps3, 360 and wii. In fact, I've probably played more Mars Matrix on that thing in the last two weeks than I've played the Wii in the last two years. There are too many great games to choose for Dreamcast but Mars Matrix probably wins out, with Rez, Ikaruga, Phantasy Star Online and Jet Set Radio close behind.

Hey joystiq, be a pal and pick me randomly. I promise I'll like sneak you some swag or something if you ever drop by the office ;)

I would have to say Spore's release date. I'm stoked now that it is no longer classified in my "Duke Nukem Forever" release date category.

Joyswag: Joystiq's Legendary Halo 3 Giveaway

Hands down, I would fight Emilio Ghorayeb. This first time I took at look at the crew of those twisted people behind Halo 3, I located this guy. Always hiding in the background, he singlehandedly trained the movements of every man, alien and flood...thing that ever set foot in the Halo Universe. To fist fight the man who commands the entire animations of the universe would truly be an event of epic proportions.

When it comes to a game, atmosphere and storyline are among my top requirements. Because of this, I tend not to play many First Person Shooters. However, hearing good things about System Shock coerced me into trying the Bioshock demo, and I was blown away.

What would be my favorite part of the game? I'd say it would be somewhere between traveling through underwater service tubes while the glass breaks all around you; the remnants of your former airliner spiraling towards the unsuspecting protagonist, and then naught a few minutes later seeing a Big Daddy rush and drill a man into a wall. Above all else though, it's the creative imagination of putting a ruined utopian civilization under the mid-Atlantic that piques my interest.
