Joyswag: Dreamcast Collection, soundtrack vinyl and 'Still Thinking' hoodie
Mar 21st 2011 8:29PM (Joystiq)Hands down my favorite Sega game ever (actually, of all time) is Phantasy Star IV. I discovered this gem through Sega Channel along with Shining Force 2, and playing these through is totally a highlight of my childhood. I still play PS4 once a year and still enjoy it every single time. The blend of sci-fi and fantasy with awesome cutscenes and amazing music gets me every time.
As for my Dreamcast, it proudly sits beside my ps3, 360 and wii. In fact, I've probably played more Mars Matrix on that thing in the last two weeks than I've played the Wii in the last two years. There are too many great games to choose for Dreamcast but Mars Matrix probably wins out, with Rez, Ikaruga, Phantasy Star Online and Jet Set Radio close behind.

Aug 16th 2007 3:40PM (Joystiq)What would be my favorite part of the game? I'd say it would be somewhere between traveling through underwater service tubes while the glass breaks all around you; the remnants of your former airliner spiraling towards the unsuspecting protagonist, and then naught a few minutes later seeing a Big Daddy rush and drill a man into a wall. Above all else though, it's the creative imagination of putting a ruined utopian civilization under the mid-Atlantic that piques my interest.
