The famicom in Japan was an online network hooked to sattelites and people even did bank transactions through the Famicom but it never released outside Japan. It was an online downloadable Nintendo system but I cant remember if you could play games online with your buddies but whatever. However the famicom controller had a built in mic simillar to the DSLite. And the Mii features on the Wii console was originally planned for the NES/Famicom.
Metroid is an underground series that doesn't go commercial and doesn't boast to the mountain dew generation of clones that never recognized that Samus has done the whole visor/space suit since 1986. So fucking continue to diss Metroid for not copying your idea of how a fps is supposed to be crafted. I love how each entry into the series is crafted under the close eye of EAD. Metroid is a cult classic that doesn't take a page from numerous clones in this industry. How about some respect for a franchise that is based on single player adventures and demonic space exploration with gothic atmospheric brilliance. Retro Studios has managed to pull off the 2-D transition of Samus into the 3-D realm known as the Prime trillogy that sticks to the traditional formula from long ago. MP3 now has the benefit to lay down the formula of how to execute a FPS/FPA on the Wii console. Jelous ones envy.
Sony dissed Nintendo's motion controls for the Wii and called them gimmicky but yet Sony reappeared at the next E-3 and had dropped the boomerang controller design for their PS3 and then unveiled their highly innovative SIXASIX design. Sony is a joke.
