Fanswag: Win a copy of BioShock, get it overnighted (Part 2) [We have a winner]

Aug 17th 2007 12:03PM (Joystiq Xbox)
The most obvious reason to be unexcited is how heavily Andrew Ryan's back-story borrows from the basic premise of television's Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down,
And Id like to take a minute just get secure,
Ill tell you how I built the undersea city of Rapture

In Soviet Russia, born and raised,
In the wheat fields was where I spent most of my days.
Hackin' up, slashin', workin' for gruel,
So I made it to the US, cause money seemed cool.

But the Depression was in, and FDR was no good;
He started regulatin' in my neighborhood.
I got in one little fight and my mom told me,
She said "you're building a utopia under the sea."

I whistled for a whale and when it came near its
stem cells were ADAM and it had dice on it's ear.
If anything I thought that this whale was pure,
But I thought nah forget it, yo homes, to Rapture!

I. Built. Up a whole city no kings and no gods
And I yelled back to Stalin, yo homes, suck my rod!
Looked at the kingdom, and I was pretty much sure,
No tweaked little girls, would ever threaten Rapture.

(whew...that took way longer than I thought it would!)

The most obvious reason to be not-excited is the uncomfortable direction Bioshock took the with the secret achievements:

Fully Researched Goatse Splicer (10)
Fully Researched Lemonparty Splicer (10)
Fully Researched Tubgirl's Little Sister (10)
Fully Researched Rosie O'Donnel (10)

Those are going to be extra eye-quaking in conjunction with these:

Prolific Photographer (5)
Take at least one photo in every research group

Research PhD (20)
Max out all possible research

Quality Research Photo (20)
Take a Research Photo of the highest grade.

Upon hearing the Achievement Unlocked sound effect, make sure to soak up the resulting endorphins. You're gonna need em.

another obvious reason to be unexcited is how heavily Bioshock borrows from the essential themes of Will Smith's character in Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Now this is the story all about how
My plane got flipped, turned upside down,
And I'd like to take a minute let me assure,
Ill tell you all about scoring drugs in a place called Rapture.

Born to great things, my parents praised,
In the airspace was where I spent one of my days.
Chilling out, maxing, smokin' all cool,
and all hittin' on attendants fresh out flight school.
But then turbulence hit; the plane was up to no good.
It made me drop a present from my neighborhood.
I got in one little crash and my mom got scared,
She said "good thing we sent that present, its new underwear."

I whistled for a sphere and when it came near the
Radio was Atlas and I thought rescue was here.
If anything I wasn't sure this sphere was secure
But I thought nah forget it, yo homes, to Rapture!

I. Pulled. Up past some fish about seven or eight
And I yelled back to Atlas yo, homes smell you later.
I walked in the kingdom, found some junk and shot up,
Then I saw Mr. Bubbles, ZOMG Rapture is f*$#ed.

My favorite thing about Bioshock is how well Andrew Ryan's back-story incorporated elements from the basic premise of television's classic series, Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
