personally I'd like to see a non-4G 1ghz phone tho. I live in Chicago and while the wimax is great on the street.. inside buildings it just doesn't work at all. I get 5 out of 6 bars for 3G so the sprint signal is good.. but no 4G.. If I walk right outside of a building, 4G jumps to the max. Its like wimax can't penetrate buildings like cellular can and that's a bit of a deal breaker for this $10/mo. Truth be told, unless you are really replacing your DSL and router with your evo in your home, there is no need for 4G on a phone. You aren't downloading ISOs or linux distros or any large file to a phone. I think the $10 forced fee will either be revoked with a class action lawsuit, OR sprint needs to remove the "official" block on tethering and include it with the mandatory $10. Anybody with half a brain is using the rooted free one anyway so they are just wasting the effort.

I was so excited when splitfish found and built my gamepad idea. But it took so long that I finally adapted to the xbox controller.. still i might get this tho because my aim is teh suck

@Twankie Yes! I live for the jason hunting.. and im upset that engadget is a little lite on them so far. There was some good iphone screenshot that deserved a jason icon swap... cmon engadget! step it up!

@rizo Just root before the update then get the .6 based roms from xda.. Everyone is already running .6 rooted roms as of 8/2/2010

I dont think any early adopters had any issues with .3 and .6 came out 2 days later.. so there wasn't even time to find an issues

$150 to $180? pfft.. Budget is between $79 & $129 these days. Hard to thing my sd450 that I paid $350 for at 4MP is 3 times the price of the newer ones for 12MP
