Xbox 360 repairs should always have the option of a 'coffin'

Because the website was down for a long time while they changed to a new system.

Xbox 360 repairs should always have the option of a 'coffin'

Mar 20th 2009 11:35PM (Joystiq)
When I was sending my 360 in for repairs I asked for them to send me packaging. They told me they had already put in that I would provide my own packaging in the computer system before asking or allowing me to speak, and then when I asked if they could go back and change it they said no, if I wanted to change it I'd need to call back and start over which would mean being on hold for another 20 minutes.

The reps I spoke to were nothing but rude and inconsiderate, far more concerned with getting me through their pipeline than actually helping me. They were quite condescending to, telling me the problem I was having was clearly a broken cable and that I should not waste their time with questions answered in the FAQ (it was in fact a fault with the video card, which I told them, following research I did online)

Even though I strongly suspected I was right, as I ended up being I went to the store and bought a brand new video cable just to find the exact same symptoms, which required me to call in again to tell them the same thing a second time and argue with them when they tried to tell me a second time that it was probably just the cable. I had to resort to lying to them to get them to shut up and take it in for repairs.

hehe sorry for the long winded post just venting about a horrible experience...when I see things like them claiming good customer support it makes me want to go ape shit.

I know for a fact they survive on more than that. I see them at the local deli and indian buffet frequently at lunch. They's good people.

To the people saying the graphics look bad, I say take a second look...and see that while they are terrible, it looks to be mostly bad art assets, but the engine seems quite capable of good graphical effects. Meaning better models and textures or possibly custom art by the community (I hope it never comes to relying on that) could bring things up to par quite easily.

Sarah Michelle Gellar really wants to make Alice movie

Jan 29th 2008 7:15PM (Joystiq)
It should be mentioned that SMG owns the movie rights to Mcgee's Alice, so if it's happening she'll be starring in it unless it gets delayed so long that she's to old to be pretty.

PC game sales only 14 % of industry in 2007

Jan 28th 2008 5:04PM (Joystiq)
One thing to keep in mind is this talks about profit (I think.) walk down your PC game aisle sometime at any department store, best buy, or gamestop if they still have a pc section. You will find about 5% of the games there are worth anything, and the rest is just junk. Maybe they'd be turning a better profit if there was less worthless software being developed published and marketed.
