This thing looks like one of the Zoq-Fot-Pik characters from Star Control II:

Toejam & Earl sucked.

This list should have Strider, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Earthworm Jim, and Midnight Resistance. Kid Chameleon was kind of quirky too. I remember it for some reason even though it was a great game.
